I've been waiting for enough encouragement to buy one, and I think I have it now... Supposing I get one in the next few weeks, I'd be available for other Monterey divers to buddy with... I typically dive solo, but would love company... If I have a two person yak, with just me, I suppose...

I don't use ankle weights...never have... I also don't use my DS for buoyancy....and have very little air in it most of the time.

I use a frog kick...Kick and relax...makes diving quite enjoyable...the idea is to see things, meaning that you don't need speed...

As Doc said, I'd prepare by making the reg more available....Practice the remedy...sweeping for the reg, use the bungie,take your mask off and put it back on underwater, etc.....But, I would most certainly not practice choking in the pool...Aspirating water is not good, esp. if done...

Yep, and all of this because of the lawyers...None of the folks suing have anything to do with this, any more than the manufacturers who might be producing a faulty product...

I read your post, but can't figure out which side you are on...LOL You seem to say nobody will get anything [so why worry about it[], and then say to get insurance, which is what I said...But my point was that I'd get the insurance even if only to not pay the attorney for the lawsuit...
