    El Dolor de Muerte

This is a custom speargun built of laminated teak, with Aimrite parts, and a UHMW polyethylene enclosed track that shoots a 60" freeshaft.

    oms comfort harness

I dive the OMS harness. Setting it up is not a problem for anyone over 10 who can read:) I ditched the shoulder pads after one dive. They are far too bulky and stiff and only get in the way. The reason I got the harness over the standard harness I had is for the chest strap and adjustment...

    uPSIDEdOWN pONY

Because by god somebody told you it wasn't already. You'll do what they say too or somebody's feeling will get really hurt and nobody would ever want that. ;) Question of the day: Do dir folks use the boot that was originally on their spg to protect their feelings? :06:

    any1 from Canton, GA area?

You can go buy some Dale Earnhart memorabilia and maybe admire some Dale Earnhart memorabilia plastered on some Dale Earnhart fans' Z-71 trucks.:) Seriously though, what do you like to do? We got all sorts of stuff 'round here. Steve.

    LA - Lower Alabama

Call the Dive Locker in PCB and leave the rest. There is a website at www.divelockerpcb.com. They have a couple of boats, the best guys working there and the lowest prices. Tony or Joe will do you right and point you in the right direction in that area. Good luck.

Best fins for scuba spear fishing?

Long blades are the way to go. Never seen a spearo frog kick cause we ain't in a cave so short inefficient fins are out for me. Another thing that comes into play is trying to chase down a fish that is swimming away with your shaft. The longblades have an overdrive gear. Kick a little harder...

    when to get a Reel?

Reels are used primarily when freediving allowing the shooter to get back to the surface to fight the fish if a floatline is not used. Some folks use them when lineshafting on scuba but it's not a common practice.

Zeagle RKO or Tusa Duo Air

Chad and Scott from Zeagle both regularly post about Zeagle products on this and other boards so imo the customer service you receive is already better than any other dive company. This factor is the single biggest reason I buy Zeagle gear now. With all the warranty probs. I've had in the past...

    "Hawaiian Sling" WRT shoulder straps???

Go to spearboard.com and look under the "other gear" forum. There were pictures of a hawaiian rig there a month or two ago.

What to look for in a knife?

Stainless knives require more care than other stainless dive gear due to the composition of the metal. They HAVE to be rinsed and oiled or rust will develop. That is the only reason for getting titanium imo. The shears work well for cutting wire and mono. It depends on what your needs are.

    Knife on leg or bc?

My knife goes on the inside left leg. Besides cutting mono I use the knife primarily to kill fish. I don't want it on my bc where it is harder for me to see where the sharp point is going when I re-sheath it. I can look down on my leg easier than I can my bc. I think it's easier to find on...

    Webbing - My latest find

Concerning the strength of webbing-when it is tied into a loop the strength of the loop is nearly double that of it's tensile strength. So tying webbing into a loop with a water or beer knot is ensuring that the overall strength is automatically greater than the single strand. Additional wraps...

    Transfer hoses...

Leisurepro has transfill whips for 120-145$ depending on whether yoke or din. Do a search for "equalizer." Good luck!

    AJ's

If you stone them they come to the boat easier! Seriously though, if the shot is less than perfect and with a line gun instead of freeshafting you just have to rodeo them down. Take in line without getting tangled, get a hand in their gills and brain 'em with your knife. AJ's are one of the...
