I don't think they should care what our opinion is. I believe in live and let live. It is their risk to take. But we do have strong opinions, nonetheless. And we are simply stating them, not preventing them from doing the dives.

The surgery went fine. My brain is still trying to adjust to the lens, though. Flashes of white light, headache, etc. I guess it takes a couple of days. The dr. said all looks like it's supposed to for now. It feels like my eyes are permanently dialated because everything is so bright now.

It depends on where in Hawaii you are going. There are 4 major islands with differing conditions. There is a lot of information available in the Hawaii O'Hana community forum. You have lots of time to read up. There is one Maui thread I would stay away from, though. Lots of bickering there.
