You should be able to find a buddy easily at San Carlos (a.k.a. breakwater). If you don't want to do that, you can always rent-a-divemaster from most of the Monterey shops. I did it with Monterey Bay Dive Center when I first moved up here and was pleased. Something like $80 for 2 shore...

I don't know that I've tried Ardbeg 10. I've certainly seen it - I'll have to give it a sip next time I have the chance. It's peatier than Laphroaig?
