Perhaps by non-conservative algorithm, they mean the most likely to get you bent? Maybe try the old SOS Decometer?
Given the single posting of a single question that riles people up by a new user that never returned, one might suspect a troll.
I use a ring like the clear tube to roll over the neck seal on my drysuit between dives to hold it open. After a dive I put the ring on my neck then roll the neck seal over it, strictly a comfort issue when I'm not in the water and don't want to get out of my drysuit.
but... it could be anything
Being a gear head, weird equipment scenarios always interest me.
The folded exhaust valve thing is a good theory. But I'm still unclear on the timeline of events. The tank valve was turned on and the yoke screw popped off? Was there thousands of PSI coming out of the valve when the screw came off?
I was once told by a successful store owner:
"We don't like tech diving. It's dangerous and has high overhead cost. We don't like tech gear, it's expensive, has low margins and you have to carry a wide inventory to be able to supply all the different configurations. We don't like tech divers...
Awesome stuff....
Congrats to all the experts, cyber trolls and passionate divers who helped stop this scam. A special shout out to the development team at Trichicken Breathing Systems!
And our first investor comment since the take down comes from the Triton Facebook Page posted by Dan O...
I was checking up on the progress of this revolutionary breakthrough and found this link in Google search results...
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/triton--5
Not sure what it means, their main indiegogo page is still up collecting money. It seems strange that a project under review by the...
I'm sure the investors will have a solid court case against the Triton people and will be granted a judgement. Then all they have to do is travel to Iran and find two guys named Saeed and John to get their money back.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
I crack me up...
Now that the date has passed for refunds and the campaign is closed, the comments on Indegogo are going to start getting awesome.
Commentator: "Your money is gone."
HAHAHAH (I know it's wrong to laugh.) This will provide weeks of entertainment as, one by one, the investors realize they are...
I've also heard the title 'Masterdiver Divermaster' bestowed upon a diver who thinks he knows it all. Although, I don't think the agencies recognize this title.
I felt sorry for the investors until some of them started talking about how the doubters of this product would have said the same thing about the invention of the airplane. Some suggested that the undersea technology industries are so terrified by this game changing technology that all the...
I couldn't help myself.
I had to look back in on this mess and see what's happening. It's like an awful reality TV show that I feel guilty about watching.
The sad news is that they're back up to over $400,000 even after admitting they lied about their technology. The cool part is that they've...
"We have delivered a set of legal documents to the Indiegogo Legal Department and are in discussions with members of the California Legislative Assembly who expect to investigate the debacle if the funds get disbursed on May 1st."
That is sooo cool! Skin those huckster weasels!
The developers of the trichicken can't release the revolutionary details of their underwater breathing chicken because its proprietary, game-changing technology has not yet secured patent protections.
As I watched this mess unfold over months, I have experienced the entire spectrum of human emotion. At first I thought it was funny because it was such an obvious scam. But when I saw so many people falling for it, I became sad. Then I became angry that these foolish investors weren't...
I think the input would be the same as you see for any electronic scuba device.
Divers will want user replaceable batteries in a size that is readily available. Watertight battery compartments to protect the circuits if the battery hatch leaks. Easily operated buttons large enough for gloved...
I think it might be a mistake to approach this as a 'diver safety' project. You should approach this a 'diver communication technology'. While a new form of underwater communication could possibly make diving safer for some divers, it would have a much, much broader application for military and...
I managed to get one like before they deleted my post. Here's what I wrote that they didn't want people to hear....
I have been a diver for 35 years. I have been employed full time in the dive industry for 20 years and 15 of those years I've involved in the design and manufacture of diving...
Now they're up to over three quarter of a millions dollars! OMG... I can't stop myself! arrgg... turning into troll! Must post truth on Facebook!
I know it doesn't help but, "The emperor has no clothes!!! His junk is hanging out!"
What's wrong with these people!
