    Dizzy after decompression dive

Did you eat before the dive? Did you take any medication? Did you check your gasses? Things that come to mind: Skip breathing, dehydration, low blood sugar, high blood pressure, or you just had a off day.

If you already have matched 12”s, stick to your plan, all good.

    Yet another BPW question

Its a basic question, not sure what you are on about. in any cas double 15’s carry more gas than d12s and is just as enjoyable to dive. That”s why I asked, I prefer 15”s because of the extra capacity. He already had a 15....

    Yet another BPW question

Either will do just fine, that said I prefer SS (less lead). You already have a 15, why double 12's?

Current best practice for deco gas: 75% vs 100%

As a deco gas you will not spend a lot of time at 21m, 18m and 15m on OC normoxic dives in OW, 3-4min at best. Anything shallower where you will be spending time during deco, you want something better than 50% IMO. 50 works better on multi level dives suited to its range or on hypoxic dives...

    Computer purchase progression suggestions

Agree with ditching the console idea. My recommendation for those looking for a DC is to get a secondhand Shearwater and foget about all the other options available today.

    Near Miss and Psychological Impacts

It was an important experience and one that will serve you well in the future. Understanding how quickly things go wrong, how panic sets in and how disabling it is, is priceless. You really only learn when you make mistakes or experience real problems while diving. Uneventful dives teaches you...

    Semi Dry Suit??

I own a SP Nova Scotia semi-dry and can highly recommend them. The water exchange is very, very low. In fact if you properly fold in the wrist, neck and ankle seal you will get severe and painful suit squeeze if you don't let some water in during descent. The suits are expensive and would...

    Science behind GF

Deep stop study is based on a 20min deep stop. Not sure Dave, anybody here or elsewhere dive those kind of profiles.

Dry suits: If you could do it all over again...

Replaceable seals is a must IMO. The other important consideration is fit and in this regard the Fusion suit IMO is best possible solution. The suit allows you to scale up and down on thermals and bodyweight while maintaining excellent fit.

Riding a DSMB up from a deep wreck???

Many divers dive deep with 5 or more stages daily. Whats your point besides some comments/accusations putting AJ shallower than he normally dives? There are many divers that do amazing dives who you will never know about, or realise who they are. The serious guys dive, the rest hang out on...
