Depending on the instructor a specialty COURSE is different from just doing two dives of the same type and paying a fee to get a card.
Here's a list of some of the more unusual cards available:
PADI Distinctive Specialty Courses
If the instructor or shop can't outline the course they are...
Here's the original quote to interpret as you wish:
"Your PADI family continues to grow with a record-breaking 6500 PADI Dive Centers and Resorts, plus more than 135,000 PADI Professionals around the globe."
Would be odd is the family including "135,000 PADI professionals" mentioned is really...
Just received a newsletter from the market leader in hobby diving which mentioned new this year:
6500 Dive Centers and Resorts
135,000 Professionals
1,000,000 Certifications
Two interesting relationships I drew from this :
1 out of 7 new certs is a 'pro' cert.
20 new 'pros' for each new...
Active technical divers only (if you please):
Have you ever done three dives requiring staged decompression in the same day (Not during training)?
Secondly: would you again in the future if opportunity presented?
Why?

There's two steps to navigate for successful unusual carry on when flying major airlines (small charters are another bag entirely):
1. Airline employees.
2. Security.
Airline employees can't police what's on your body under clothing. Provided it isn't a carry on bag it's all fair game. Be...
I don't but here is an online used book store with some copies for < 10$ shipped:
SAFE SCUBA by Hammes, Richard B. And Anthony G. Zimos: National Association of Scuba Diving Schools, Long Beach, CA Soft Cover - SeaOcean Book Berth
With 14mm wetsuits and the possibility of needing to remove a bcd underwater quite likely I keep most of my weight on a belt. For warm water diving I am fine with weight system/BCD being one unit.
Until someone can reference some credible source of Mexican law enforcement /military shooting a guiltless tourist I personally am glad they are well armed and am happy for their presence. Haven't heard of accidental discharge deaths either.
I've yet to pay a known bribe in this part of the...
Go for whatever comes up at a good price within the local community.
At the end of the day there are few truly poor quality designs out there for cave gear and its hard to go wrong with any of the popular brands. Ideally go for those who spend little on marketing and more on R&D. That shows up...
There's a schematic diagram on:

They also have the rebuild kits.
It's a good reg, I've enjoyed mine well below recreational depths and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.
Glad to hear it's staying in
the family. Do they intend to use it for display or might it get...
You've discovered exactly why dive computers are so popular.
They allow a more accurate dive profile tracking which often gives you more bottom time on a multi level dive than a crude 2 or 3 level dive planned on tables.
Unless you dive the dive as planned with tables you can't use tables...
No problem, they fit. (older air2 type reg/inflator combo systems being the exception.)
Just please use it sparingly, they are horribly bothsome to anything within earshot.
I've seen people travel with them and add them to rental gear.

I can confirm. They can be adjusted to breathe nicely (as nicely as a FFM breathes) exactly how you describe.
To the OP:
It might be worth having a full face mask instructor (or any experienced ffm diver) test it or you could borrow a properly working ffm so you have something to compare your...
3rd is the charm. That's you and two students... Or one for the student and a backup unit for redundancy. Think of the convenience of having a spare if one of the two of you have an issue predive. ;)

Horizontal on a Buttplate/D-ring like some of us do? My gray wolf plate came with a frame extending bottom bracket for mounting an argon bottle. Anyone making something similar for the p2?
Many decades behind, not likely to catch up! I do enjoy the loop though and trying to experience the various designs is satisfying. (Dove 7 now)
In this case, the modern electronics are too costly for me to maintain (replace or repair).
Depreciation on the unit is significantly more than the...
