Dutch Springs employs safety observers to monitor the dive park and respond to emergencies. I personally let one of them know when I will be using a SMB to avoid someone thinking there is a diver in distress.

I checked my books and I may be wrong, my reef guide has some species of Decorator Crabs with spindle shaped bodies. It also could be a Neck Crab which is closely related. I think you would need to strip off the camo to tell for sure. Nice find.

I suspect the reviewer the OP sited has an agenda. Comparing any reef, anywhere in the world to what is was 30 years ago is going to be negative. We go to Bonaire at least once a year.
