What is the reason people want super high flow 1st stages when using a FFM??? Why couldn't you use a normal reg like a Scubapro or the Atomic series???
Well all the online retailers ship them with air in them.... How do they get away with it????? They ship it "ready to go" with a current VIZ and everything.
If I ship tanks to my brother and they come empty then he will need to get a VIZ on them. Thats stupid to pay for a VIZ twice.
How do you ship tanks. I called UPS and they said to ship 2 AL80's would be $150 from FL to MN. I see in the classifieds all the time people getting it shipped for about a dollar a pound.
Is there a trick I am missing?
The only thing you asked for was "Thoughts" on it and thats what the folks gave you. Only in post #8 did you reiterate what you meant.
It looks like a homemade knock off...
I have knockoff shoes and that don't mean they don't get me to where I am going.
Hard to tell a lot from a picture...
What I do when I get new bands is put them in HOT water I mean HOT and let them sit a while. Then take them to one of my tanks and strap it on. I strap it as tight as I can get it and in an hour the band has streched some. I then pull it off soak it on hot water again then strap it on the tank...
This question has already been solved in this thread. There is no real issue with having 2 rights. If you use loop bungees then you will just have one 1st stage on top of the tank and the other one on the bottom of the tank. Using ring bungees (no matter how you have the tank setup) you can hang...
I have my primary light on a goodman(soft) handle. As for my backup lights they are tucked away neatly but with a lanyard on each. I never ditched the lanyard and never will, if I was using my backups they will be secure around my wrist. A second reason for keeping the lanyard is when I pass one...
BKP if you can order with R/L valves and you do plan to SM there is absolutely no reason not to.
Left hand valves make NO difference in backmount. I backmount my HP100's all the time and they are R/L valves. Boat charter captains will grap it and go "Woah"
The only problem I had was I was on...
I am sure Kevin is the one who did not get the point. He misread a post then tried to prove his own point. By no means is Kevin wrong in what he is saying he is just saying it with the wrong point in mind.
:deadhorse:
I tell you I am glad you understand that. How you put it is how I interpreted that post from FWADIVIR about the whole 50/50 deal. Nowhere did I read anything about running OOA.
It is saying that both tanks BY THEMSELVES would have enough air in them to get you out. Since you have 2 tanks and those tanks usually having 2 different PSI's (one more then another) there is a 50/50 chance that you may end up with the tank that has the higher PSI (assuming the lower PSI one...
Not sure if FWADIVER's comment about 50/50 is too complex for you to wrap your head around but what he is stating in his post IT IS 50/50. Again it is simple math. I have read about alot of divers that "know what there doing" and have lost there lives because of different reasons. Nothing in...
IMO NO!!! It would be a disadvantage for me as I use loop bungees and like my tanks to be uniform.. Would it be the end of the world? NO, but it would make things a little off as I would have one of the valves on top and one on the bottom.
Read the post again he isn't saying 50/50 you might run out he is saying 50/50 you will have MORE THEN ENOUGH as apposed to the bare bones 1/3... And the 50/50 comes from 2 tanks meaning there are only 2 options. It's simple math
