As you can see I have a Hollis but there not too far off. Anyway this is the rigging as you can see from the one picture the bungee runs just under my armpit and is not loose not too tight. If pulled taut the bungees just meet the plain of my chest.
This is again the way I like it and by no...
I am not a pro by no means but from what I see and the way I like to have my tanks yours are hanging too low and too far back. I would simply lower the cam straps to about an inch above the tank boots thus pulling the tanks further up the body.
Using the bungee tied off on the little D-rings...
Hmmm I would think that if you have a 60lb wing with a lot of air in it even at the end of a dive while wearing a drysuite there may be too much weight involved.
How much lead do you wear?
I have never dove the armadillo but I would think that 30lb wing and a drysuit would be enough to run...
I hate my 7' and would be happy to dump it if not for buddy diving and OOA safety&ease. I could not imagine wanting to have 2 7' hoses on. If I soloed alot I would only wear 2 short hoses but thats just me.
Is there a reason you would want to adopt 2 7' hoses or you just thinking of just...
Well I use 3/8 bungee which is thick, if standing up and I run my thumbs in the loops and just snug up the slack the loops just meet the plane of my chest. If wing is fully inflated it will be back just a little bit.
I use a Right and Left valve and put the knobs facing out and loop the bungees...
It's funny we have 2 shops around here and 1 will fill them to 4000+ and not blink an eye and the other will only hot fill them to rated pressure then the cool 300-600 PSI less.
Guess which shop gets more business....
Well the Hollis SMS 100 comes with 2 cambands, Nylon cord, 4 large bolt-snaps. In one manner of speaking you dont need anything else to get it wet but you may want to invest in a loop bungee system which will make the tanks ride right where there supposed to.
With the diverite system you will...
I think the biggest problem lies when an instructor teaches for a living. Not all but most from what I see that do it for a living rather then for fun seem to run them through as fast as possible thus turning out a s#!%* diver. They seem to think there doing them a favor by giving them a super...
Well from my understanding the only thing smaller when ordering smaller sizes in a SM rig is the harness so with that if you are super petite (skinny&short) it may not be the best for you but I am sure there i always ways around things like that.
As far at that system being flexible to run...
I pull the bungee just over my tank "Knob" not the valve.
Yes it is possible to do with 2 rights/lefts (whatever you have) but one of your valves are going to be on the top side of your tank and the other will be on the bottom. I have a right & left and have both valves on the bottom side of...
I have a chevy suburban that we manage to fit 5 people in 16+ tanks and all the dive gear TheScubaGym owns (enough for 10+ divers) everytime we have a full class. It is loaded to the max in room and weight I think but it does the job. Going to need a new transmission if we keep this up.
Here is a picture of the loop bungee. Where his thumb is is where your tank valve knob goes ( best when knobs face outward). It is cheap and simple and made from stuff you can get at your local hardware store.
Yes your right that is YOUR opinion.
My opinion is that splits suck and are not good at carrying heavy loads like towing a diver, not quick anyway. Splits have there uses but very few of them.
