    Mared SLS Pocket Jammed

Using mine for 3,5y now and did not have this problem before. Bring it in towards the lds and let them solve it or at least email/call them? Mares replaced te handles last year for shorter ones and it was a very quick exchange. Can’t look at mine as I’m abroad at the moment. Good luck.

Tank failing Visual, shop condemned the tank?

Easy solution. Use some solvent to wipe the marks. You may need a brush due to the rough aluminium. Have a look inside yourself as the pressure and valve are removed. If all looks more or less oke. Bring it towards another lds and send it directly for its hydro. Make some pictures in...

    Regulators from Europe?

Nitrox >40% din is officialy different but can be changed very easy into the normal DIN connector. The official european norm for O2 clean is M26/2 but this standard is not really beeing kept as it limits the use of your regulators.

    Mares Mission 3 nitrox only

No you will not damage it. Air is 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen. Higher o2 contents can damage non O2 clean equipment not the other way around. Using contaminated air will not damage the equipent but make it non O2 clean and thus not suitable for mixtures above 40% O2. The nen..... number will...

Necessity of a back up computer/watch for NDL diving

No back-up time device for me at the moment. But still a full swung 3part console as Prefer that redundancy and cant get used to a “lose” compass. The statistics my computer fails mid dive are that low I will not spend the money at a second comp. If you go on holiday replace the batteries in...

    Nautilus Lifeline

Yup, at least in Europe its no yoke. Im sailing as a captain at the dutch merchant navy and got my full GMDSS license 25y ago. You’ve got a limited version where you’re allowed to use all gmdss equipment exept immnarsat. (Not sure) and a VHF licence. US regulations can be different but GMDSS...

    Nautilus Lifeline

Most likely because its difficult to register in many countries. Using a VHF/DSC is officially a GMDSS piece of equipment and you need at least a Marcom B or limited GMDSS license to operate it and a licence to carry it and for the use of the frequencie. Thats more or less the same for a...

    Regulator configuration

Sorry your story sounds a bit strange to me. A Co2 narcosis? Do you mean a N2? If it realy is CO2 intoxication check your air supplier. The amount of co2 in compressed air is limited normally and not available in percentages being dangerous. 8ft or 2,5 mtr vis is the norm in many parts of the...

    Regulator configuration

I’m going the redundant first stage route using a steel 12L with Y-Valve. Right hand connection my primary 2nd stage, bcd inflator hose and AI transponder. On the lefthand connection the octopus with a slightly longer yellew miflex coming from the left and connected via a magnetic connector on...

    Nautilus Lifeline

Dsc or vhf ch70 is a data channel. No voice is being transmitted. A full DSC unit is capable of 2 way communication but only to send a message and reply to a rceived one. Most of thr time to send a request to change to a requested voice VHF channel. Its difficult to explain. My advice check...

    Suunto Vyper 2 Straps

Looks like someone kept their computer in the sun orin a tanning salon. My vyper air novo is 2,5y old and 70 dives with no sign of deterioration in the strap. Monday morning strap or wrong storage. A new one from suunto should solve the problem.
