They've got a youtube clip available at their website.
Its a screw connector via an adapter piece.
If upgrading a small part of electronics should be replaced also, most likely to switch of the connector area from power when submerged.
I've just send in a request if a manual is attached in the...
Many thanks Greeniguana.
I'm checking their website at the moment.
Several pictures are available indeed.
Looks like an upgrade I'm going to make.
The version 1 is not bad but scraping the skin of my fingers while opening it is not really convenient.
Does someone have a picture of the MkI and MkII charge ports next to eachother?
I've got a Tech2 and happy with for the few dives I was able to make with it.
At the moment on board and The Netherlands locked up in December so no diving at the moment :-(
Not sure what version I've got installed...
Good afternoon,
I've got 2 OMS dive masks as shown below in the picture.
I like 'm a lot the only downfall for me is the connection between the mask band holder (plastic part) to the silicone of the mask skirt itself.
Its mounted with a small diameter stainless steel pin without any locking...
To be honest, everything rated for the pressure should be sufficient.
Try not to mix the different types of metal to prevent galvanic corrosion otherwise I don't see a lot of problems.
Looking at your top picture it looks like Stainless steel to me, galvanized is rougher on the average without...
Yes doing that on a more or less regular basis.
Europe 12" 210Bar, quarry dive max depth 32m easily going down along the bottom/ "drop-off" and coming up the same way. Starting and ending the dive watching fishies in the shallow parts of the quarry. Total dive time upto 1hr.
In Croatia, Diving...
Its correct several main brands are manufacturing in China but hopefully with a proper quality control.
The pure cheap Chinese non branded equipment??? nobody knows if there is any QC/QA performed any where in the production and feedstock line.
A small back-up light, no problem, a DSMB, no...
Thats a simple one. All equipment sold within the EU should be in possession of all CE markings and certifications relevant to the product.
Products without the CE markings are not allowed to be sold via European shops and web shops.
If you go for a dry-suit. I would change to a P/V weight at the back of the BP or in the STA.
Redundant buoyancy in the dry-suit makes the weight belt as an extra.
The trim weights can still be attached to the tank straps if needed.
As far as I know thats correct if you bought a set (first and second stage)
Everybody is doing it but the type approval is issued to the set with the specific length.
About the same relevance as the first mentioning the tires.
And at least according Regulations its officially not allowed to change the set-up of your reg ie. inserting swivels.
As from that moment they are not complying to the EC regulations/ as applied for during certification.
Not said nobody...
The only thing is you are not allowed to use 150mph tires on a 200mph car. At least in Europe the rating of the tire has to match or be over the max speed of the car itself to prevent people blowing their tires at 200mph (oke, in most of Europe a 120/130kph is the max)
Sorry to hack the tread but be careful buying cylinders in Europe if you're not living here.
New cylinders available will have only metric threaded necks and no "normal" US gas thread.
You can insert and screw in a local valve but it will come out with a bang :-(
Not sure if you will be able to...
All local dive stores should be able to deliver a O-ring to seal the valve to the cylinder. They are all the same as the internal diameter of the neck should be more or less the same for all M25 Valves.
I've paid E2,- for my last bought O-ring, just found this picture at the website of a dutch...
Zef, your numbers are making sense but arn't you making a small mistake calculating the weights?
At the end all negative weights can be deducted from the to be carried extra weight to compensate the wet suit in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Weight to be carried for suit = 9.5
Neg weight...
I nowhere mentioned not having an octo/secondary reg available at my back gas. I'm planning to use my twin (as in 2) regs sets. Having 2 first and 2 second stages available on the same 12l Cilinder. (This is a common way of creating redundancy int he reg department in the cold water lake diving...
Hello all,
This year we're planning a holiday to Croatia and I'm going to take my gear with me.
Presently I'm diving an OMS performance double 45# and a D8.5wide on a SS backplate and drysuit.
I would like to invest in a mono wing to be used in with my present BP as bringing my doubles is not...
Quote of the T-9 webpage
Never thought about using T-9 I use it to lubricate the chain of my race bike and was expecting a silicone component in it.
My drysuit supplier will "kill" me when using any silicone based lubricants as it will impregnate in the rubber/laminte and no glue will stick to...
More or less everything.
I've read a lot of remarks about the extra obstruction/entanglement points for the handle.
Carrying the cylinder on your shoulder at 5ft high is not the best option when you slip and release the cylinder out our your grip. dropping a 15kg piece of that height on the...
Have a look at a gas tester for the chemical industries.
You, can add the requested sensors as needed.
No idea about pricing.
Brands to look at Rikin Keiki or Draeger.
