aqualung i200 - how to check battery status

I believe there is no way to check the battery status other than waiting for the low battery symbol to show up (they are different if it happens on the surface or during a dive). Pag, 23 User Manual.

    Atom 3 displaying something odd

If you installed a new battery in your Oceanic, the computer operates "normally" and you can go through all its menus, change its settings and check the dive log I would continue to use until you can afford the new one. I've seen many dive computers losing their "backlight ability" and still...

Oceanic Geo 2.0 owners - help please

The gap on your "ear" shaped rear cover is too large. Ocassionally, we have noticed smaller gaps than yours in the Geo computers. I suspect one of the plastic latches (just out of memory I believe there are three of them) might have not latched properly or could be damaged. I would advise you...

Suunto D-Series USB Cable O-Ring Specs

I don't know the exact specs of that Oring but I can assure you it is metric. Every Oring in any of the D series dive computers that I have come across is metric. I would remove it and measure it's inside diameter (ID) and cross section (CS) using a caliper. You will probably find it in the...

Dive Rite Nitek Q : changing the batteries ?

@JMBL, Nitek Q has a Lithium polymer 3.7V rechargeable battery inside. Lithium rechargeable batteries that I know all have 3.7V voltage but they come in many sizes and flavors. Do you know which one is inside your Nitek Q? I'm asking because we recently replaced the lithium 3.7 rechargeable...

retrieve dive log from broken D4

Do NOT take it apart. None of the "contemporary" dive computers, such as your Suunto D4, will lose its data even if the battery goes dead. Unless the D4 is totally inoperative, you just need to install a new battery and, of course, get a download cable (which are unreasonable expensive).

    SAFT battery and computers

Lithium batteries don't leak. We've replaced many lithium SAFT 3,7 V left for years inside several of the oil-filled Uwatec Aladins and none of them leaked.

    Amphos Air Battery O-ring

@RNININF, Assuming you are referring to the Sherwood Amphos, yes the Oring is a special size and almost impossible to get. Is the same size used by Tusa Zen and Oceanic Geo. My advice: don't try t cut corners and buy the Kit on eBay from Battastic ($ 9.50). Once you get the Oring, measure it...

Uwatec Aladin Pro - constant beeping after battery replacing

@Milan Abraham We have experienced the same problem when servicing some of the old Aladin oil-filled computers. A 3V battery will not reset it. However, using a SAFT LS14500 3.7V battery (the same battery model that goes inside the Aladin) does the trick much easier.

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

@zai.gezundt I suggest you buy a new Oring (Casio Part SGW400). 1) Clean the Oring groove with a Qtip with isopropyl alcohol. 2) Carefully lubricate Oring with silicon grease. 3) install Oring back making sure the "square" part fits in the corresponding part of the groove. 4. Close back the...

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

@zai.gezundt No, I've never tried that experiment with the Citizen HyperAqualand. To me, the real test has always been that the beeper must work with the case back closed. From your first picture (I don't have an open Edy in front of me) I reckon that the two "reed" shaped contacts are...

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

zai.gezund, Did you reinstall the sticker after replacing the battery? In servicing Cressi Edys I have always reinstalled the sticker (even using a drop of silicon glue when necessary) so I don't know if not doing so could prevent the piezoelectric crystal from beeping. However, I have done...

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

Zai.gezundt, I noticed in your picture that the battery does NOT have the original self glued sticker with specific instructions on how to reset the computer after replacing the battery. That prompts the question: did you reset it? You are supposed to momentarily short circuit two bronze...

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

If the spring makes contact at the red circle, that point and the spring itself (does it come off?) would be my primary targets during the cleaning operation. But then I don't have a clue what could have generated the "pointy dark spot". The faint sound you can hear with the cover removed is...

Aeris manta -help w history please

Donnad, Firstly, your Aeris Manta only stores the last 24 dives. The procedure to access the LOG is referenced in pages 59 and 60 of the User Manual. While in NORM-SURF-MAIN screen, pressing A button less than 2 sec. gives access to PLAN MODE LEAD-IN screen. Pressing again A button for less...

    Cressi Edy, fix alarm sound?

Dmaziuk has a point in suggesting you should verify the battery voltage. However, be aware that the Cressi Edy takes a CR2032, which is a 3V lithium battery. Secondly, "the white circle glued" is precisely the piezoelectric crystal that beeps when an electric voltage is applied to its terminals...
