Dead broke? I thought you were working 3 jobs and 7 days a week? ;-) BTW, we are heading over to Victoria to dive the Mackenzie on Sunday, Dec 3rd. It's a hundred bucks. It will be nice because it's not a wreck we dive often. Wanna come? This invitation is open to anyone else that rather...

    Local Vancouver conditions

Training. Training. Training. Now that you've been through the Bil's school of hard knocks, you know what we go through on our dives. There isn't much you have to do to get to that depth. Advanced nitrox and deco procedure is easy. Just have to know the math and the diving is not that hard...

    Local Vancouver conditions

Well, we didn't quite make it. One of our DM, Wes, text me at 8am to let me know that there was a bad accident right the exit 2 on the highway. 4 car pile up with an 8 patient transfer and the highway was closed. So we were left toying with the idea of sitting in traffic for a long time to...

Smart Pro, Aladin Tec, VR3, or keep the IQ800?

Interesting. I don't usually even glance at postings like yours except that your post had the word VR3 in it, so I had to look. I wish I hadn't. Here goes... You do know that the computer didn't almost bend you. You almost bent yourself. With rescue and nitrox training, that does not give you...

Filling Your Own Tanks - Oxygen Fire

Sorry, when you said the "local guy", I thought you meant it literally. I didn't realize you meant the local gas industrial company.

Filling Your Own Tanks - Oxygen Fire

Yup. Fully agree with you there. I was only pointing out that even at well below 2250 PSI (let's say 1,500 PSI as an example), it will still be a pretty descent bang! I would be really curious to know if there is an actual difference bewteen the bang that happens at 2,250 and 3,000 PSI. I...

Filling Your Own Tanks - Oxygen Fire

I am pretty sure that if the conditions were right. (and by that I mean contamination, impingement, opening valves too quick). You could blow ***** up with a lot less than 2250 PSI of O2.

When diving the Boeing 737 what is a good 2nd dive?

I can't really remember unfortunately. As you get shallower (maybe 40 feet), you will see the flat sandy plateau. You will find one den at the begining of the plateau and one at the end. Under obvious large rocks. Swimming in the direction I mentioned earlier.

When diving the Boeing 737 what is a good 2nd dive?

you can dive the reef that is directly in front of the plane nose. Head up the reef and swim right (keeping the wall on your left). You can circle all the way around the reef and end up on top of it as you swim shallower. There is a flat sandy plateau and there is wolf eel(s) at both ends...

    Furry Creek

Follow Les' directions to get in the water. It is the second stone path and the only one with rock stairs. It continues on to a path cleared out by one of the residents who launches his kayak from there. Swim to the second and inner buoy and descent down the line to about 20 feet. Swim with...
