    What is your worst dive?

Jupter31; Needless to say, if it happends close to you (lik in your case) or if you read about it in the newspaper, it sure does touches you hard and make you think a little bit more on all those things that can go wrong...God forbid that it happends though.. My worst dive was in Egypt, at...

    Name this valve!

I've seen both H and Y valves for DIN 300 Bar. Atleast not very uncommon in Europe.

Went to Grotviks Harbour, In Town for two awesome dives. Lots of life blooming beneath the surface. Saw two giant 'bergylta', amazing.

Pre-dive buddy check; How many of you actually do it?

Always. There's no saying 'I'm sorry' if something goes wrong. God forbid that it happends though...

Should I or should I not?

I think i'll be the first one pulling this one off...I've got two long 12 liters 300 bar tanks and the thought of doubles has struck my mind a couple of times, but all doubles that are for sale are 2 x 12L x 232 Bar. I've found 300 bar valves and manifold with isolationvalve that will fit...

    Is conventional wisdom just conventional?

Yesterday, me and some fellow divers from the local club went to a recompressioning-chamber ''test ride'. In educational purpose to see how nitrogen narcosis effects can vary and how they show themselfs. Deepest dive so far I can say, 50 meters. Anyhow after the ''test ride'' we got a...

JACKET vs. BACK INFLATE BCDs- which and why?

My choice is Backinflated Becouse: Fit fit fit. Getting rid of the airpockets on the side of your torsoe is the greatest benefit and more space for gadgets on the front. I dive a Zeagle Ranger.

    Equipment Purchase

I Aggree. What kind of diving do you -think- that you will do? Wrecks, caves, cold water, tropical or just a good mixture of everything? This is my gear of choice, made my choices with the thought of that my current gear should not restrict me in any way if I want to do either wreckdiving...

    Drysuit diving

For starters I dive a Ursuk Heavy Light FZ (trilam) When I dive with my own 12 liter 300BAR long's and my thick undergarments I carry 10 kg's of wheights. If you get the chance to dive dry, take it! Getting neutrally bouyant in a drysuit is the most wonderfull feeling there is...And yes it...

    Where did you dive today?

Went to Arild, Sweden. Were staffing on a Rescue-course...It's much harder to be towed back and forth all day than I thought, on and off with equipment in water ofcourse, atleast 5-6 times, beeing picked up from the bottom etc...Quite funny to act against the students :D And by the way...

    Drysuit and BCD question

I get you'r point but I still think that you should be a comfortable drysuit diver before using both bc and suit for buoyancy control. And i'm not sorting this method out in any way, I know a few people who uses both their bc and their suite, or just their bc for buoyancy control and just...

    Drysuit and BCD question

Sorry SandM but i'd say a big NONO to keeping air in both the bc and the suit. For someone new to diving dry it is hard enough to be proactive with releasing air from the suit alone. And with air on both the bc and the suit it will be more things to keep in mind to avoid an uncontrolled ascend...

    Drysuit and BCD question

Yes, drysuitdiving is done with a regular bcd and should not be done without one! And yes you can use you'r own! Your drysuit will keep you warm by the isolating layer of air between your body and the suit, in other means air put into the suit combined with the proper undergarments. Depending...

    Wreck Penetration

Full penentration, Yes. Sticking you'r head into the hull/bridge, No. And ice-diving with a reel...Not an option for a person without the proper training and knowledge of linehandling and methods for refinding a lost reel. A thick rope around the waist is the way. Cutting corners kills...

    Where did you dive today?

Heh yeah, while on the surface on our second dive (saturday 21/2) a couple of kayakers went by and my buddy said 'what they are doing is even more stupid than what we are up to, imagine if they fall into the water, atleast i'm in a drysuit' Well, that day it was 0 degrees in the...
