How do you have the pony slung? The closer/more streamlined you can get the tank into your body the less it will mess with your trim as well. Although what the other posters said is true. In general you should not need to shift weight around.
The other thing you can do that I don't endorse but...
2" when it comes to trim and weight placement can actually end up being quite a bit. Drastically oversimplify everything and imagine your body as a seesaw. Moving weight placement 2" closer to the fulcrum can drastically change trim.
A real world example: I can't for the life of me trim out PST...
Was interested in pursing cavern and intro to cave this winter down in Florida and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for an instructor, preferably one that will allow you to take the course in back mount. I have a couple of friends who have done intro to cave in the last year but...
We train over and over for failure like that but luckily knock on wood I've never had to truly experience it. Is it obvious which post it's coming out with the upstream opv since the reg won't be free flowing in your face like others?
I meant flimsy compared to the jets. My jets feel super stiff comparibly. I did forget to mention the pocket the pocket is drastically different. More foot shaped makes a lot more sense. Overall is exactly what I needed for what I needed it for.
Just an update:
Went with the Deep 6 Eddy
So far seems to be exactly what I wanted. When set side by side with a Jet fin, you can't even tell the difference (besides the logo). They are almost identical in all dimensions/look. There is an obvious weight difference however and in the water, the...
I'm thinking more catastrophic failure rather than slow IP creep. I'd imagine if you had a seat failure your opv will almost be constantly open rather than every 5-10 seconds no?
Thanks for all your time
Hm maybe I'll have to plug the first stage opv and go back to using a hose opv.
Is it not obvious which 1st stage opv is popping when diving back mount? I would imagine you would feel some difference in the breathing of the 2nd stage or I guess you'd feel bubbles if you put your hand behind...
1st picture: how they are tied
2nd picture: how it's fitted for dry suit and sits loose on my arm without a suit before pulling it tight
3rd picture: ends pulled tight and tucked in. Doesn't come loose during dive at all. Comfortable and nothing hanging out.
I wish I was at home so I could show you how well the bungee straps can work. The snap in straps they send with the unit I agree suck and are cumbersome. However if you just use 2 pieces of bungee through the bungee mount areas on the bottom of the unit, it works well. I use one piece through...
Calling @tbone1004 since he is the Poseidon Master...
I've been diving a pair of poseidon xstreams for the last year on my doubles and love them. They breathe like a dream no matter how deep I am, and I've shared air from 150 feet in 34 degree water and came out with a block of ice on the regs...
I've had experience with the local LDS calling things "off brand" before just because they don't sell them.
My first reg ever was a mares abyss MR52. Was actually very nice and never had issues with it. However when I showed up for an airfill one time with the reg still on the tank I was told...
I think a kydex plate weighs less than 1 lb which is less than the dog bone plate and close to 2lbs less than an aluminum which is why I'm interested in it. I'm looking for a more traditional backplate shaped like the kydex just didn't know if DSS was the only one making that kind anymore as it...
