I've done i300c in 1-2M visability water, it's fine. Nothing is perfect in those conditions, but it works for me. (-3.75 and -3.00 correction in the mask).

Hi from SATX as well. Are you diving canyon lake for training? I've gone with the i300c, as it has bluetooth pairing as the first dive computer. The deep6 computer might be good for you as well, depending on your needs (would be what I go with at this point).

I've the same light (rear button version), I think the spring (and maybe the contacts) could become rusted (hear th. I'd contact dive-rite for a service manual (to clean the contacts/replace the spring) or to ask for a replacement.

I've been looking at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S52XNZ9 (specifically the top version) as it can be sized to the user a bit better than most and doesn't trap air/water. I'd rather avoid the velcro, but it's the best from what I've seen out there so far. That being said, I have not bought it yet.

Does SSI allow export of the data in a common format? IIRC GDPR may require it, but a more common option would be nice.

Mine has a hole in the corner, it also floats. To that I attach a length of nylon cord. The other end of the cord is attached to a weight pocket on my belt with the whole assembly inside it. I also store my compass in the same pouch.

I've done that with my carry-on (just a single one pound weight) just to see what'd happen. They do focus in on that.

I use those (the xs scuba pouches). The only thing I don't like about them is that they take up a bunch of space on the harness (storing the weights vertically in the pocket would have been better IMO). Still the best simple pockets out there, use them for my compass and stuff too.

Update on this, now that I did the dive. It was just a single 38 minute dive to shallow depths (I think 15.8M was my max), but I could have done another. Wore 5mm gloves, 7mm hood, 3mm socks under 3mm boots. Main protection was a full 3mm under a full 5mm. the hood/gloves/boots were layered...

Go into nature on island (whichever one that may be). As much as diving is fun there's a world above the surface as well. When we were last there we did hiking (a couple of places), kayaking, and basic relaxing as well as snorkeling and diving.

What are you using the light for. General daytime shine a light for a slightly better view of things, night dive, cave? (edit saw you said wreck, I'd say CX1 for backup and get a good can light) I'd say the CX1 can be a 'primary' for when you can get by without a light. When you can't get by...
