I think you are wrong on this, I used to have a Luxfer and Catalina AL 100 and both were positive buoyant when empty and at 500 psi even.

I have a women's large, and usually wear a men's medium. Found a good deal on the women's model. I compared them in the dive shop and couldn't find any difference. The lift is even the same.

Welcome to the board. You may want to check out the Oklahoma Aquanauts dive club Oklahoma Aquanauts if you haven't. We have over 1400 members and someone diving every weekend of the year. You will have no problem finding someone to dive with.

Your best bet may be a canvas tennis shoe similar to Converse Chuck Taylors. I like them much more than any rock boots that I have tried. They are much more comfortable and cheaper.
