    "disposable regulators" vs servicing?

Why would the Virgin Mary need a diaphragm?

    "disposable regulators" vs servicing?

This seems like a PIA solution to waste time and money. Just selling the old regulator is more work than paying to have it serviced. You sell it, you have to deal with some whiney bastard on eBay. You are going to buy the new regulators and have to configure them and make sure they are ready...

I asked around (got nothin’ but s*** here) and then asked them. The sit down was 2/10, I guess, but I hadn’t heard anything. Like I said, it doesn’t have to be a grand conspiracy. And yes, I have a name.

I said they were no obligation to do it, people were demanding answers base on the reader's timetable. I am not going to sue them if I don't get what I was promised. I thought they were meeting with DAN in February. This is called a reasonable expectation. I want to know if there has been an...

I'm not looking for a conspiracy, I would just like to hear the rest of it.

There was supposed to be a round table with Dive Talk DAN senior management. The DAN Response was preliminary. I thought they were having a question and answer in February. I asked because I had already checked and hadn't seen anything. I was asking because I thought maybe there was mention...

My classes in 1980 taught with a tank and regulator. No BCD, no octopus. We were put in horse collar, orally inflated BCD for our last pool session ( of twelve). I recall it was presented as being useful on the surface more than it was designed to provide trim.

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

When I went to Germany as a Student, the dollar was at a record high a few months before I left. I planned my expenses based on this. The dollar was still good, but things were just slowly getting more and more expensive by the end of my semester and my money was running out. We don't usually...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I have been thinking about replacing my dry suit with a custom cut Seaskin. I am regretting not having done it sooner. Inflation hit Europe a lot harder than the US.

New booties for feet with high instep. What to buy?

I have a very thin neoprene sock that I use with my dry suit. I have nerve damage in one foot. It makes it much easier to pull on the boot without being able to wiggle my toes. The socks are not designed for diving, but they make getting your foot in a lot easier.

The only BCDs I would be certain that would keep you face up on the surface is the horse collar and some of the really early jacket BCDs (they would lift you by the armpits, unless you used a crotch strap, then they would lift you by the balls). An empty AL tank is probably going to around four...

I think (my personal guess), one diver had a cardiac event and his buddy was trying to get him to shore. The second diver was tired and exhausted, possibly hypothermic (a flooded drysuit may have contributed to the situation). One made it to shore the other did not. The second diver was...

"At 3 p.m. that day, through investigation, authorities determined Brady, the second diver, was missing. He was subsequently recovered from the ocean off Front Beach and pronounced deceased." First Diver was found at 11 AM. According to the article, They did not start looking for the second...

If I remember correctly, they were testing equipment. Incorrectly serviced gear or a some third party defect that lead to the deaths would be a valid issue and worth investigating. But it would be a civil matter, not a criminal one. "Unsupervised dives" are what most people in that area do...

The questions I would have, since there are no witnesses, how much air did each man have and what did their computer profiles looked like. Assuming they entered the water at the same time, you could get an idea of what went on. Did someone bolt for the surface? An uncontrolled free flow. The...

These deaths would most likely be civil matters unless there was evidence of some law being broken. If you ski into a tree, your on vacation, they aren’t doing a huge investigation, unless the family pays for it
