Leak when heliox bottle on JJ regulator from din valve between regular and bottle and also from neck of them bottle. Different bottle to same regulator containing air no leaks. Put heliox bottle again to regulator and again leaks.

So I thought too, but gas was forming small bubbles from neck of the bottle and from din valve. Was using it on JJ.

Tried heliox diving, regulator and bottle from seam had both small leaks, had to abort. Worked without leaks with air. So I think heliox diving needs smaller tolerances and special orings? Gonna try again in a week, before I give up.

Actually takes about 12 hours to helium mix stabilize. Have been doing checks with my analyser. Remember to put bottles laying and roll a bit.

Anyone experienced with Agir one? Usually Agir has good quality.

TekTite strobes are quite junk. If you want really a good strobe it's going to cost. This is best I have used. Trojan diving strobe eXtreme It is expensive though.

One thing, if you diving in cold water <10c when you take off FFM you will have hard time breathing for spare 2nd stage, cold just makes it hard to breathe and you have to force yourself to do it. Easier when you train it.

If it is abandoned pier then yeah! You can dive up to 2 meters deep to shore, that is what I did. Scenery is like from some scifi movie.

Never got any formal training for ffm. There really isn't any difference to normal diving except emptying mask from water. Just train that in pool and shallow water with buddy at start. Also train taking ffm off and putting backup mask on. I recommend buying weights to mask.

Padang bai's best dive spot for me was the ex-pier. Really cool to dive between pillars and waves pulling you in and out. Guides don't want you to go deep to pier but you can and it's safe. You can always exit just going sideways. Just dive so that when current throws you to shore way fin fast...

If you dive under 15c waters then get paralenz - battery lasts much longer compared to GoPro and doesn't freeze.

Yeah thanks for tips. Would have change bailouts for Heliox mixes too. So no n2 on any gasses. Well bailout fill is just one time cost. 50 liter 300 bar helium is bit less than 400 euros here and O2 50 liter 200 bar is about 50 euros.

Any reason why not to dive in 20-45 meter with heliox compared to nitrox/helitrox. With CC cost is negletable. Bit colder to dive with? Was thinking building heliox fill station with booster and o2 and he.

Buy diverite xt fins. They are neutral and have best propulsion of all fins I have tried. Frogkick recommended.

You could leave rubber alcohol cap on for months, no need to take it off between dives.

Yeah was planning 60meter dives at Brunei in 30 degree water (too hot for drysuit). Used double bladder on oc before. I try my oc wing maybe sometime (Diverite classic).

Why wouldn't you use in this case fucidin acid ointment as profylaxis before and after dive? Also isn't fluoroquinolone kinda overshooting it before bacterial swap results. We usually use cephalexin.
