Nice photos! What kind of setup are you shooting with?

If you underexpose the images, is there going to be more noise in the darker areas once you increase the exposure in Lightroom (more grainy etc.) compared to if you expose correctly when taking the photo?

No-one using it? From what I understand, using the CHDK you can zoom in or out when taking video (quite noisy, though). There's autofocus feature also when taking video.

I heard, that the rest of the group continued to make another dive after that - knowing that one of them was missing. Wow. :shakehead:

Has anyone here installed CHDK for G12? Is it worth it? The changes list is here.

I would recommend the Inon D-2000 instead. This is mainly due to its modelling/focus light. I love it. Really really bright and is, thus, really handy on night dives.

Yes, that's what Inon says. I just thought it meant cases/modes, where prefire flash is used, not a camera which uses preflash in some modes. And, being a beginner, I thought the camera didn't use preflash in manual mode --> not necessary to install a magnet. I just wanted to clarify, if...

I case someone's still wondering about this: I tested my Inon D2000 Type 4 with my Canon G12. STTL worked fine even without the magnet, but I couldn't get the manual mode to work with the strobe. After installing the magnet, the manual and the STTL mode work perfect. Thus, at least my Inon...

Okay, this is really confusing now. :shocked2: I guess I have to try with and without the magnet and see what works for me..

I got ULCS tray, arm and clamps for my G12 and WP-DC34 recently. I got an Inon D2000 strobe for it. I think the modelling light can be quite handy, because you can use it as focus light for macro shots, too. Also, it can be used as light for night diving.

divervision.com is now selling a newer model of the WP-DC28/34 lens adapter. This one has a red filter on it. I have this newer one and I really like it. It's even more lightweight and it attaches with one screw only and not "against" the housing.
