Photography dive buddies for Spirit of Freedom (August 2020)

I know, sounds like we are definitely dead in the water. I was surprised about the lack of refunds as well - I only paid the deposit, same as you fortunately. Such a bummer. I'll be cancelling the rest of my Australia trip and hopefully have better luck next year.

Mini Trip Report: Isles of Shoals

FYI I'm signed up for the June 6th charter with Portsmouth Scuba to Isle of Shoals, if anybody is looking for a dive buddy. My girlfriend is coming along, but just to snorkel.

Blue and mako shark charter San Diego!

I spent two days snorkeling with blue sharks off of Rhode Island. The sharks got very close. You need to keep space between you and them, which I did with my DSLR camera rig. A shark would bump my rig every few minutes, and one shark bit my dome port (scratched it up very nicely)! I never felt...

How to pick a Guadalupe great white liveaboard

@Hoag summed it up well. I've been twice, with two different operators. The second time around was on the Nautilus Undersea. I enjoyed both trips, but I thought Nautilus was the better op. They have a couple different boats, but the Undersea has the least amount of people, which means more time...

Trip Report Revillagigedos on the Nautilus Explorer, May 24-June 1, 2019

For now you can, yes. I'm sympathetic to family/employment needs. I just don't want there to come a time when everybody gets out of the water and immediately jumps on their phones.

    Roatan-AirBNB??

I did my Divemaster on Utila in November 2012. It rained occasionally, but it did not take away from the overall experience! And Utila was fairly quiet as a result, which was nice. My point being Roatan might be rainy in Thanksgiving, but that doesn't mean it has to suck.

Galapagos - Never a Dull Dive!

Ha, I used this track to cut an underwater reel 7.5 years ago. Nice to see it's still getting around the Internet!

    See Creatures, Cabo San Lucas

I did not get a chance to dive with them (was supposed to have a complimentary dive prior to my Socorro liveaboard in December, but United's flight delays nixed that), but I will say the staff seemed extremely friendly and professional. If they're even half as nice out on the boat, you'd be in...

    zeagle stiletto

Which are? Just curious for the day if/when my Stiletto fails. I've done virtually all of my diving with my Zeagle Stiletto and have been quite happy with it. It's traveled to multiple countries and been used in a variety of diving conditions.

    Paddlefish in North Dakota?

Hey folks, Has anybody dove with the American paddlefish in North Dakota? I've heard they can be seen in the Garrison Dam Tailrace.

USVI Dive Vacation - what do we need to know?

While St. Croix definitely has the better diving (Frederiksted Pier is one of my favorite dive sites ever), I enjoy being topside way more in St. John. It is three quarters National Park and is just beautiful. And you do see a lot while snorkeling in St. John - eagle rays, stingrays, barracuda...

My Research Notes from Planning Galapagos Trip

As always, I greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into these posts. I have to say, while the Galapagos sounds great, the cost still puts me off. I went to Socorro in December and my entire trip cost roughly half of yours. Was your trip amazing? Seems like it! Was your experience twice...
