That's great, and welcome! One day I'll get my prescription mask, but my myopia is low enough most suppliers don't do it ... sigh.... thank goodness for underwater magnification!

One other thought - you might want to let them know your wife is pregnant and you have a short connection time, and ask for airline transportation through to your next gate. If they provide the transport, they should get you off the plane quickly and whisk you through in time, and they'll also...

I have the 700, and found the same problem. Didn't have it on the 500 cause the barrel didn't extend ... poor internal flash location. Only an outside strobe would fix it, unfortunately ... but I found that "sleeping" the lcd screen helps save the batteries ... a little. Not the best, for sure.

The ONLY time I've ever had the lever accidentally inflate was kitted up on the ground - never happened underwater. Works great - stays dry inside, and very comfortable to wear. It's certainly not the easiest to travel with, but not the worst either. I've had mine for a year now, and love it...
