XS Scuba Wheeled Mesh Duffel ??

Your link didn't work for me so I looked it up. I too am looking for a mesh duffel. I'd like the mesh to be pretty heavy duty and the wheels would be a nice addition. I didn't even find dimensions for the Roller Duffel. I'm no help :( DrDuktayp

    Another dry suit underwear question

We purchased the Softwear mentioned above and really like them. Janice will do custom sizing which is really a plus (no pun intended). I've rolled a neck seal and come back fairly wet but still fairly warm. So far the coldest I've dove with them is only 42 degrees so I don't know how they...

    Split vs. Regular

I have a pair of twin jets and love them. However, I am thinking about purchasing another pair of fins. I think that the twin jets don't frog kick as well as jet fins, turtles or even the diverite fins. I briefly tried out a pair of jet fins and also a pair of mares fins and noticed that...

    Underwater GPS

A friend of mine that doesn't dive thought I should make some kind of floating antenna for a GPS. I just dismissed the idea as nuts. DrDuktayp

how big is TOO big for a wing?

We were recently in Cozumel. My wife and I dove our Rec Wings and BPs and another in our group brought along his CLASSICS. We all reweighted down there as the water was Extra Salty. The fellow was going to be doubling in the Cenotes by the way. Anyhow, the bigger wings weren't really a...

types of boats useful for diving

We've been out on a couple of charters that were on a 32 foot sailboat. We spent an hour or so going out. It was pretty quite even though it was a diesel so we all talked and enjoyed each others company. The boat easily hauled 7 divers and the skipper. The ride was smooooooth, there was a...

    Dive-Rite BC

I rented the Transpac and also did the first part of my OW with it until I purchase the BP. I liked it and it cleaned up well. Some of the BC's my daughter has tried out is a real bear to rinse out. DrDuktayp

Olympus C5050 or Sony P100 Anyone comment?

My wife and I are thinking about purchasing a camera. Until I read the post from Cecil I had no idea that you might have to correct the pictures. We are also thinking of the C5050 or C5060. My main concern is that it will flood and get ruined. The cameras and housings are all pretty...

    Hello from Germany

Wow! Germany. What is the diving like there? I think that you will love Scubaboard. This is the first place I turn to check ideas, equipment, and travel. DrDuktayp

    DIR for recreational diving?

A group of us went down to Cozumel and I wondered if I should switch back from my long hose (which I am VERY comfortable with) to a standard "Octo". I mentioned this to a member of the group and he pointed out that nearly all of us were long hose and BP. So, I didn't change. Down there it was...

    Pressed Steel E7-100 Tank ANYwhere????

My LDS has been waiting for PST's to come in and now they were told it would probably be January. They can get Faber HP 100's. How about these? I looked at the specifications and it looked like they are a bit more negative. Which is actually a plus as the water is cold here. And for...

    DIN vs. Yoke

The fitting came in for my MK25 Friday and last night I changed it over. Once I went a head and pulled off the hoses and used a vice to hold the body it was pretty easy. Of course I did use softwood to protect it from the jaws. I was pleasantly suprised to find that the inlet protector...

    Scuba Pro Package?

<<Standing on my Soap Box>> We have 2 Local Dealers. My choice on where to buy was made based on the quality of service, cleanliness of shop & fill area, and overall value that I can expect from them. So, I think that once you have selected your gear. You should purchase from the LDS that...

    Completed My Rescue Diver

There are training patches and then there are also patches for dive destinations. Maybe it just depends on how they are worn or the intention of the wearer. We are collecting them and are thinking of putting together dive jackets with them sewn on. The jackets can show our enthusiasm for the...

Do you have a dive sticker on your car?

I have 1 sticker on my new pickup. BUT... We have a van set up for diving. I am collecting stickers for the inside of the van. This must be really juvenile huh? I'm not putting any stickers on the outside of the van. So, I guess I am just decorating the van for me and my buddies...

    Great White in Alaska!!

I understand that Great Whites are just about everywhere. Thankfully, SE Alaska has very few and in fact, I don't know of anyone that has ever seen one. Hopefully, they are just here for the halibut, or salmon. DrDuktayp

What's the coolest thing you saw this month diving?

The neatest thing I saw diving lately was a turtle while in Cozumel. We were doing our 3 minute safety stop and a turtle was swimming pretty near us. He might have been as far as 50 feet away but the visibilty was SOOO good that it was like he was swimming with us. Neat DrDuktayp

    Finally I'm rescue

That is great! My wife and I are planning on taking rescue next spring. We are worried about the part where you carry the victim out of the water. Was it difficult to carry the victim? DrDuktayp

    DIN vs. Yoke

Uh, one point no one has mentioned on the Din -vs- yoke comparison Once your kit is all assembled the Din kit will just LOOK cleaner than the yoke one would. -grin- DrDuktayp
