    Atomic Aquatics Computer

I would mention their absurdly-priced snorkel... but otherwise, yes, Atomic makes really solid gear.

That looks like hose-mounted AI, I thought it was supposed to be wireless wrist mount?

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I would guess it's for attaching an optional lens hood but I don't know for certain. I'd check with Ryan before disassembling anything.

Will we be seeing a Liquivision X2 in color anytime soon?

    My new Uemis SDA

How about a full conversion to Imperial units? I keep seeing complaints that this or that feature is still in metric... has this been resolved yet? Any chance of a gauge mode in this system? Love the idea, but there are a few niggles that are stopping me still...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I have yet to use a macro lens where you don't have to zoom in at least a bump or two. AFAIK, it comes with the territory... you're putting a long tube in front of the lens, after all. Bayonet is definitely preferably to threaded connections, if you want to put it on and take it off...

    Macro Options for S90/FIX

Focusing with wet-mount macro lenses on a point and shoot is always the trickiest part. The focal range is literally around an inch, and less if you zoom in. I have to zoom in a bit with one, and farther with two. I've never shot with three. Very manageable, however. It's all part of the...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Yeah, I considered going that route, and might eventually. Looking at your second photo, I also wonder if that metal ring (the source of the problem, I assume) could be ground down on the side by the buttons to clear the path a bit more? I'd like to find something that lets me use the...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Gack, that's horrible. That's one thing I was seriously looking forward to... getting rid of the damn triple clamp I'm using now. Could I impose upon you to take a photo of the hot shoe adapter in place, so I can see the manner in which it impairs access to the buttons?

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Sounds great! I'll be starting off with my existing Ikelite tray, but probably will eventually move to ULCS (or a clone) so I can get a little smaller. Who knows, though, once it's all hooked up with a focus light on top, I may end up sticking with the Ike tray after all. Although once I get...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Transparency film for a washer, eh? I like it. I may have to steal that idea! :) It looks like on your tray, the issue was the extension goes UP instead of dropping down (since it's flipped). Is that correct? Minor issue, since a sliver of a spacer apparently fixed it, but just to be clear...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Thanks, Boyd. Looks good. I'm not sure how I feel about the padding on those arms, though... I'd think they would absorb too much water, like a sponge. Have you had them down yet? Do they dry out ok? This approach avoid the issue dhuskins was having with the "lip" on the back from the "drop...

    Intova Mini Torch

YOU DO NOT "USE THE COMPACT". The "Intova Compact Torch" is a specific model. It comes in ONE variety: 3x AAA batteries, rear push button switch. The beam is narrow, and there is no wide angle version (currently). The "Intova Mini Torch" is the newest model, which is a tiny light which uses...

Let us have a ScubaBoard meet and greet. - Idea and Planning Thread!

Ugh. Someone should call and verify this (any local locals know?). I can stomach $6 (barely) but at $8 for an air fill, I'm bringing extra tanks instead.

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

If I understood Ryan's explanation correctly, the 28AD is deeper than the regular AD (or is it shallower?). So the AD macro lenses need the spacer to put them at the correct distance. The UFL-165AD could probably use the same spacer to physically connect to 28AD, but it would vignette horribly...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Spoke to Ryan: I didn't ask about the UFL-165's (sorry, it's just not really on my radar), but he did assure me my UCL-165AD macro lenses will work in the Fix AD adapter, although possibly with the addition of a small, inexpensive spacer. (Presumably the [AD Mount Converter for UCL-165AD]...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I sure hope so, because that screws my whole plan, if not. I don't have the UFL-165, so that's not a concern to me (and of course it's designed for the UWL-100 28AD, so that's a given), but my whole plan is to be able to switch between wide angle glass (such as the UWL-100 28AD, or perhaps the...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Wuss. ;) (no worries, shipping the housing from Florida to SoCal will take time anyway) It's supposed to be 75 here today, but the overnight low will dip all the way down to 48 degrees! I'd better wear a long sleeve shirt today, just in case I'm out late. :eyebrow:
