    Seiko Dive Watch Accuracy

I don't think either would ever break. The Waterborne straps are still solid nylon bands that will probably outlive US. The fit, finish and overall feel of the Maratac straps is worlds apart, however.

fnfalman, I hate you a little bit, just so you know. ;) If you ever get tired of all that weight on your arm, let me know! LOL PS, LOVE the orange Maratac bands. I have that on my Citizen BJ2000-09E. SO much better than the Waterbourne knockoff POS bands. :)

    Whatever happened with "Drifting Dan?"

Trial is set to start 2/1. Then perhaps things will finally get really interesting! I'm REALLY tempted to pull down some of the papers in this case.

Canon S90 in Canon WP-DC35 Housing: First impressions

If it's neutral, you won't need weights. Neutral, or very slightly negative, is generally the goal. The thing to avoid is floaty (only happens with the OEM housings and zero add-ons) or really heavy, which is usually more of a concern, and requires floats, foam, and other methods to deal...

    Seiko Dive Watch Accuracy

And because they're beautiful. :) (my current COSC-certified object of lust) COSC regulations require the watch runs -4/+6 seconds a day, just as a data point. Also: If you buy a watch brand new, there is usually a settling in period (for any automatic watch) which can be up to two...

Fisheye fix uwl-04 on ikelite a570 67mm housing

Sorry if I came off harsher than intended. The fact is, however, no one has the answers you seek, because no one has the same combination of hardware that you do, except Ryan. Everything in every one of the threads is speculation and guesswork... you asked questions that had been discussed in...

    Seiko Dive Watch Accuracy

I did. And I posted, in post #16, many of the same things that everyone else was telling you about the accuracy of kinetic watches, and offered suggestions to how you can get your wish for accuracy. You're welcome.

    Seiko Dive Watch Accuracy

You realize that the Maratac watch you're comparing the mechanical watch to is a battery operated quartz watch, and not kinetic, right? It's just not a valid comparison, from an accuracy standpoint.

    Logbook Recommendations?

There's also the print-your-own option. There are several threads on this board, and others, with PDF log book pages that people have assembled, some of which are as good or better than any commercial products I've seen. Open it, print as many pages as you need, and put them in a binder.

    Logbook Recommendations?

Yes. Not a fan... although I haven't played with the current version, so maybe they've caught up. Still, unless they can import all my data and perfectly read my Galileo Sol's output, I won't be switching anytime soon. I like DivingLog.de for it's fantastic output options (hard copy), but I'm...

    Seiko Dive Watch Accuracy

If you want rock solid to-the-second accuracy, you don't want ANY kinetic watch... even a $40k Patek Philippe is going to be too inaccurate for you, as is a $20k Rolex. Get a $100 Casio G-Shock, one of the ones that syncs to the atomic clock, and you won't have to worry about it again...

Fisheye fix uwl-04 on ikelite a570 67mm housing

Read the threads in this forum. There are lots on this EXACT issue. Recent. On the first page, even. You don't even have to search, really. Short answer: We don't really know with certainty what will, and what won't work, yet. Except we know the Ikelite W20 works.

    S90.....Ike Housing......W-20......

TTL requires communication between the strobes and the camera. Sometimes the strobe is smart enough to read the camera's strobe output and set it's own level (Inon strobes have this via the sTTL feature... I can't recall if the Ikelite manual control unit can set levels automatically or...

    Logbook Recommendations?

SmartTrak sorely needs a redesign by someone who knows how to follow normal Windows interface guidelines, but the core of the program is solid. You can log all of your dives there quite nicely, in one of the most thorough programs available at any price, and print hard copies for an actual hard...

    How to arrange a Stage.

Ditto. No need to x-shorts for easy warm water vacation diving, I can cram everything I really need into one pocket on the belt. Does the job while on vacation, at least.

How many use BP/W for single tank warm rec diving?

bp/w for cold water, warm water and everything in between. Never really hated the jacket BC (it was all I could rent for decades, anyway), but when I finally got sick of rental BCs (funny how often they'd screw that up) and bought my own, I can't say how happy I am I went with a bp/w instead of...

    Scuba Divers and Weight Belts:

Not sewn. The belt was actually made for me by DumpsterDiver (on this board), using heavy-duty tractor tire inner tube for the belt itself. He used wire and a piece of plastic rod with a hole in the middle to make an end point for the belt, and a standard SS keeper to "end" the rubber part...

    Scuba Divers and Weight Belts:

I love my rubber weight belt. I wear XS Scuba pockets from their 6-pocket pocket weight belt over it, so it is very easy to change weights anytime I need. And the belt is self-adjusting for depth compression, does not slip easily, and can easily be tightened up enough that there are no changes...
