    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Now if only we could get a sample photo taken with, instead of just the plain UWL-100 28AD, but adding the Dome Lens Unit to it, which takes the lens from a 100 degree FOV to whopping 150.8 degrees, we could have a winner!

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I'm starting to think you're right. There may be a call to Ryan in my very near future. If things are slow enough at work today, for instance... :crafty: Do you know if they have AD mounts in stock yet, at all? It's been a while since I've used my camera without wanting to throw on my...

    S90 Housing, Strobe Recommendations

While I've never held the Fix housing (*sob*), my semi-educated guess is that they could be used for mounting a magnified viewer of some sort, or a simple lens hood.

I managed to hit 47' at Heisler once, but the majority of the rest of the dives were in the 27-37' range. Definitely no need to spend the extra dough for Nitrox unless there's some other reason, like being in a high risk group for some reason.

    San Diego Dive Fatality 9-29-09

Waterhorse Charters is indeed a totally separate operation. Now sure which direction the purchase went without looking into it. I'd never cite CDNN as a source, however. Notoriously inaccurate.

    S90 Housing, Strobe Recommendations

Keep it simple... rubber cement will probably do the trick, or maybe a tiny drop of aquarium sealant? Just be sure to keep the end of the fiber clean.

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I think the tolerances of the Fix housing are MUCH tighter, and it won't be an option to tuck the wrist strap into the housing. I'd be pleased to be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure.

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

LOL good idea. Of course, first I have to pay for the housing. And the AD connector. And the WA lens. Then perhaps a spare S90. ;)

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Hopefully it won't really need it. I've had about 3 instances of lens fogging in almost 400 dives with my camera, and never use desiccant. Personally, I wish there was a smidge extra room in front on the right so I could put a Richard Franiec Grip on the S90 and leave it there, rather than...

Let us have a ScubaBoard meet and greet. - Idea and Planning Thread!

It's walking distance from Shaw's, but not while in dive gear, hauling a tank. If you bring a wheeled cart, maybe, but you'd have to be some sort of masochist to not simply toss it in the car and zip over instead. And yeah, Heisler is farther still. Those blocks are mostly uphill, too...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

LOL sorry, no insult intended... I saw bubbles and camera gear, and didn't pay attention further to notice the pink gear. The macro shot in photo #1 is lit with strobes? Ok, I believe you... looks really blue, like it was natural light. I thought maybe you passed on the strobes that dive...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Thanks! Dude in photo #3 needed to take a snap of the rig underwater, so we could see that, too. :coffee: Did you use the internal strobe, or any external lighting? I'd be REALLY curious to see some macro shots done with solely the internal strobe. (Not that I shoot that way much, but...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Thank Effing G-d. My biggest complaint about my S80, bar none. Way too much work to play with the common settings. Not a massive deal on land, but underwater, conditions can change drastically from one shot to the next, and the ability to change configs in an instant is hugely desirable...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Doug, you can either upload to ScubaBoard directly, or use a third party company like PhotoBucket.com or ImageShack.us and then simply paste in links to the images (or directly reference the images themselves). ScubaBoard - Frequently Asked Questions: Photo Gallery Help

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Looking forward to to seeing the shots! Do you have the UWL04 to connect once an adapter is available?

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

If I can get an AD-52mm adapter for the UWL-04, allowing me to amount it via bayonet connectors, just like my UWL-165AD's, and still with no vignetting, we're a big step closer to a sale. :D I'll wait on actual images, and Nemrod's feedback, but I'm feeling more and more positive about this.

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Hi, Ryan, I called in last Wednesday (12/23) but missed you... I haven't had a chance to call in yet this week. I did get the great news that the FIX housings had arrived. The guy I spoke to (name has slipped my mind, sorry) said he was not aware of any 67mm adapter, was this simply an error...

    DIR GUE and backup lights

Anytime. There should be a law against two flashlight companies with such similar names... it's caused all kinds of confusion over the years. :)

    DIR GUE and backup lights

I'm quite familiar with INOVA lights you're talking about. Inova makes a wide variety of LED-based flashlights. My local Fry's chain has carried them for years... I own a couple of them, as well. The switches are NOT the same as the INTOVA lights we've been discussing. Those tail switches...

Catalina & Channel Islands dive sites

Great resource, Scott! I'll definitely be saving these links for passing on to photographers visiting our area; they're a great overview of the islands.
