Add a calculation for nitrox and the price gets even more out of hand. Just complaining a little because I really need another one but think they are overpriced. But then again, I think most items today are overpriced.
Can anyone tell me what skills are reviewed in a refresher coarse, let's say PADI's. Is it book work, pool work, or both. Certainly it's not a complete ow coarse, but which skills or theory do they reintroduce?
Don't let these people get you down. You really did get the advice you asked for; the rest just want you to name the instructor and see what happens.
Yes, you did say early on that you were not looking to bash anyone and only wrote details when you were invoked into it. If you don't feel...
I thought the exact same thing you described when I removed my STA bc they weighed too much for me. The Diverite wing is connected to the backplate with 2 sex bolts through a grommet. Yes the cylinder sits on these bolts and NO it doesn't wobble around AT ALL. I do protect the tank by...
I like to have both. I like soft in pockets and hard on a belt. But if I could just have one type they would be hard ones I guess, just because they dry quicker, are smaller, and attach directly to 2" webbing (like a belt or cam strap) without having to attach a pocket. However I wouldn't give...
You can convert it to DIN later when you start your tech route it you don't want to hastle the yoke conversion while your renting cylinders. But if your buying your tanks then go ahead with DIN.
And i'm just curious, does your lds stock the mk17 and g250v? Because the shop around me doesn't...
Op said he already has a wing. Deep sea supply's rig works best as a system, at least that's what Tobin pm'd me one time when I asked him if my wing would work with one of his plates. So your question was has anyone used those two online vendors; yes, Scubatoys is great. You can't go wrong...
My dive buddy is having Septoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery next week. We just left her ENT Dr. Evedently this has been a problem she has had since puberty but now medicines aren't helping her breath so surgery is the answer. She has had no problems equalizing in the past while diving...
Try Scubatoys or Hammerhead for a backplate. And Hog makes a single tank wing that everyone seems to like; I have a Diverite but if I needed a new one I'd buy that one. Weather you go with one continueous piece of webbing or a harness is up to you. Either one will suit you well. Leisurepro...
I have a brother that does the same for me. He just gave me a perfect computer because he wanted to upgrade. I'd find out what what he wants to purchase next for his scuba ventures and suprise him with it. My brother is the greatest, sounds like yours is too.
But if your looking for a...
I picked a few brands and learned as much as I could about each of there offerings. For example, learn as much as you can about two or three regulator manufacturer' products that you can find a tech for that you like, doesnt neccessarly have to be a local tech, and choose a suitable reg. I...
I have two SP mk16's, both bought used at seperate times. How can I tell if they have had the mk17 internal parts conversion, without visiting a dealer?
Take the computer out of the consol and get a wrist boot for it. Then ditch the rubber consol and just use the pressure gauge, clipped off. Or put an analog depth guage in the empty space where your computer was.
