That's a pretty big component since I'm planning my dive with my buddies before dives. I also wouldn't say it's just gas planning, rather it's planning the entire dive in general including (multi-level) dive plan, deco profile, and contingency planning.

I believe metric would be better, and I've tried to convert, but at this point, I'm much more confident in my imperial calculations. Also, all my dive buddies are using imperial.

With a scooter, we hit 240 fsw in about 2 minutes. No travel gas needed. Even without a scooter, I've been just dropping like a rock in the ocean and not using a travel gas.

I've had my Suunto D6 pretty much since OW, so it's got almost all my dives on it. I've been using the Suunto dive manager software free off the web to download my dives. It's been great to have this electronic log book on my PC which I can print out if I need to.
