Sure if someone is having a bad time then surface. If the diver was calm and had i breathing reg then a safetystop is still advisable in my opinion. After rereading: he was half unconscious.. so jeah thats not the definition of having a good time. There is no reason to not surface!

If he didnt held him down. Then i think its not the instructors fault. He had a working regulator at the safetystop. So i dont see a reason to skip it. Of course if the student goes up he goes up. Dont hold him down, but i thinks that wasnt the case. And i dont understand how he drowned?

True. When diving wet the 10lb negative bouyancy is "calculated" at depth. With a compressed wetsuit. Thats what makes diving a 7mm without ditchable weigths impossible.

The reason a rig has to float itself is not because of the need to remove it. If you drysuit fails completely, your wing has to carry the rig (and all the weights) and you. You are more or less neutral with a failed drysuit, so the wing has to float the rig.

I war in bonaire 2019. They stole my shorts, so i had to drive to the hotel without them :D We left cloth , empty tanks and suncream in the cars. Our car got searched twice( stuff was moved, didnt saw anyone) and my shorts were stolen on a nightdive at something special. Nothing really bad

Waterproof 5mm has ankle zips, but no wrist zips. Its a very good suit, but it has no seals.

If money is no issue, i recommend santi. The suits are the best quality and the Standart suits are customizable, so its always a good fit. I think 4 changes are included. So you pick a suit thats slightly to large and cut off. Get measured in a shop from someone who knows what he is doing...

In my opinion its life changing :D Its the percentage of how close the leading compartment is to the M value, if the diver would be at the surface. As far as i understand its not really important which compartment this number dictates, because the percentage number is relative to the M value...
