you can't possibly take this chart seriously - according to it I should take Tech3 (a class that doesn't exist) to be "equivalent" to advanced trimix in all other agencies?
Last time I checked - all those advanced trimix classes are less than Tech2 (just not on the plastic card- which no once...
This is true - with a CCR in your hands you can get much more diving done.
But what about the experience on Bailing out/gas switching/Deco management?
1. You need to be responsible enough to practice this occasionally (yes - spend money and perform OC ascents with real deco).
2. If #1 is kept...
What?!
when going for a T2+ dive - you will take an extra amount of cylinders/gas equivalent to what is required for the same dive on OC? well I envy you as this is just putting a lot of money (Helium) on redundancy - will never happen here where I live.
Deco Gas is already there in the stages...
I see this thread went slightly sideways, so I'm responding to the original post:
1. You already did fundies - you should know the difference between TDI and GUE by now
2. If you liked fundies and think you learned a lot - wait for T1
3. A lot of people did TDI technical training...
I'm from Israel water is 30C in the summer, 16C in the winter.
So summer time we use aluminum doubles with no suit at all / thin wetsuit
when you need a drysuit use steel doubles - less weight for better buoyancy.
Thanks,
Matan.
There are probably hundreds of documented dives where GUE divers are switching from 15/55 to Nx 50% (it's what Tech2 certifies you to do).
12/65 I'd switch to 21/35 as this is a 3 deco gas dive - not because of counter diffusion (common aren't we over this in 2020 already?) but because a dive...
and in every advanced class - it seems it's always back to fundamentals.
I don't remember hearing (for any student) during my T1 and T2 things like "you need to improve your gas switch / bottle rotations" - I did hear (for every student including myself of course) comments about back kick /...
very similar to my rig except I use older INON strobes :)
see this link in WetPixel:
New Nauticam Wet Wideangle WWL-C
someone posted still shots with nauticam + WWL-C in 28mm and 30mm zoom (see bottom of the page). case isn't visible - are you sure you can see the case below 35mm?
Matan.
Thanks - I'll wait for the 4k to upload.
regarding the image - I see with 50mm still very good angle.
however I guess the biggest interest is with the lowest zoom possible i.e. 35mm or even 28mm getting a good landscape / diver shot to see if no vignetting.
also regarding buoyancy - the built...
The 1m (3.3ft) for beach shallow diving (max depth 9m 30ft) when sea is calm.
Deeper stuff the super slim 1.8m - however it does have a tiny issue when it's windy since it's quite thin so it bends.
The "old" 1.4m wide SMB is really the best but harder to inflate fully w/o drysuit (which is half...
The diver's photo (the last one) - can you please share was was the zoom? i.e. 35mm or less? as I do see some vignetting there - however image looks good.
any thoughts on Video with the lens?
Thanks,
Matan.
great shots!
any chance you can try taking pictures of divers / shoot some video / landscape shots?
would like to see how the vignetting is in real sea conditions - I'm on the fence for buying this lense.
Thanks,
Matan.
I listed a note in my post - I checked locally i.e. asked people who teach for those agencies here.
Well I guess that stresses another point - having required skills listed on standards but instructors don't practice them in classes. :acclaim:
Matan.
During my fundies it was discussed during equipment workshop on the first day.
During my T1 it was discussed when reviewing possible failure points in the equipment.
wasn't drilled UW - my honest opinion it's important thing to do and shouldn't take too long - maybe someone can get HQ from GUE...
