Golem Gear Shrimp BOV with LP hose entry from left side.
JJ CCR hose connectors.
5 years old - dived 10 times before I bought it 6 months ago - I did ~ 70 dives on it.
A service kit for the BOV from Golem Gear is included (un opened - I got one but didn't need it).
*The kit doesn't contain...
that's not related - the LOLA valves + JJ head are heavy.
one option (Thanks John Kendall!!!!) is to raise the cylinders while lowering the plate with the harness.
still playing with it but this is really working (with 7L cylinders).
raise == The cylinders don't touch the JJ stand.
Matan.
Vitkovice == rust - ain't going to waste money on those (even the 3L cylinders coming with the JJ are bad -use Fabers).
as @beester explained - it's also related to how tall you are - I did try adjusting my harness several times.
I agree that in order to reach valves properly I also need to set...
even with the factory configuration I'm using a carbon fiber plate (H one but still carbon).
first stages - Mk25's.
changing plate height is just like adjusting the harness - will render me unable to reach my valves.
dreaming about adding some floats or something to it - maybe where they push...
Haven't seen those anywhere - especially on JJ CCR. if really that good as described it will become more "common".
for now the options are Shrimp / iBOV - I have the shrimp which currently:
1. hitting my nose - terrible.
2. seems like the second stage is made of some spare parts - while being...
A question on this new BOV:
1. My Shrimp BOV is constantly hitting my nose due which is causing annoying water entry to my mask - happened to you with this BOV as well?
Regarding BOV gas connection:
1. 3L cylinder won't help you on the BOV.
2. WOB of any BOV AFAIK will be worse than OC -...
Literally never happened to me +/- 10 years (the other 10 years I wasn't using an SMB/spool - and was kneeling on the bottom...).
Didn't read all the comments - make sure enough tension on the line when clipping to the spool - if issue exists contact fundies instructor (if no fundies instructor...
not sure if was posted here - but fast service and fair prices so pretty good IMHO:

He removes unnecessary fittings so you get exactly what you need i.e. less parts.
Matan.
you're still looking at the plastic card and/or training standards.
1. a GUE Tech2 diver has all (and so much more) the knowledge and skills required to dive 100m.
2. a GUE Tech2 diver that has completed 25 T2 dives can receive another plastic card which says he's trained to 90m (reminding that...
