all about Dpv not the treble aka rebreather (or trouble ha)

If your scooter breaks down at the far end, you are basically screwed and running on backups, unless of course you have a second. That puts you into rebreather territory price wise. The rebreather will be more applicable to a larger number of dives. Not to mention the gas savings.

looking for more air and still keeping good trim/bouyancy

the only problem with doubles, is that some boats won't allow them on normal recreational trips.

looking for more air and still keeping good trim/bouyancy

Scuba Toys does. That is where I fill my HP tanks.

    Hollis Prism2

I really like it, including the builtin compass, but it seems to dominate my right eye, so when I went to Florida last month, I dove without it. I do like the new HUD.

    Hollis Prism2

I have the P2 with the DiveCan. I absolutely love it! Breathes extremely easy! I have switched to a different wing though and I have used the nerd on it. Very neat although sometimes it gets in the way a bit much, at least imho.

IANTD EAN vs PADI EAN courses

Rely, your ppo2 is a function of depth and how much O2 is in your mix. If you exceed 1.4 ppo2 while you are actively swimming, you have a substantially higher risk of oxygen toxicity. 1.5 and 1.6 is used to shorten deco times by divers at deco stops. During those deco stops, they are...

    Build the Perfect Certification Agency

Personally, I would love for the initial classes to be longer and work more on fine tuning boyancy. I hate to see new divers out diving somewhere because they are constantly hitting the floor or grabbing on to something. It would also help their confidence level.

    Hollis LED 25 issues

I sent mine back about a week and a half ago via Scuba Toys for the same issue. It had been working great, then was using it on a dive with a friend showing it to him and it flickered and died. Wouldn't come back on, even after being out of the water for a week and completely recharged, it...

So we're normalizing relations with Cuba

I was originally certified in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 2000. I have not seen any diving that's better, and I've been quite a few places.

    Regulator

Regulator, you could dive without a BCD. The regulators are the life support equipment in that equation.

    3-Day Open Water Certification?

I would suggest this option. If nothing else, it will get you more comfortable and confident. On top of that, you would have to be insane to pass up free training. Plus a free book from Jim?!?! Where was ScubaBoard when I was certified in 2k?

    Never received my cert card

While I wouldn't expect them to cut me in slack in this situation, it can't hurt to try. Just be aware that you were given ample time to get the card and did not. In the end, the responsibility was yours.

Reducing the length of my DSMB

IMO, the way this thread has gone is scary. According to the title under your name, you're a dive master. That means you are someone new divers look to for guidance and help. This puts on us a responsibility to learn to do things properly and be the absolute best divers we can be. Shooting...

    Newly certified!

Who says there's no giggling? :) I saw a thread about the MV Fling a few weeks ago I believe, and was thinking about that actually. I take it that you recommend them?

I did my training with the big lungs, but I'm thinking about trying out the small ones.
