    Fisheye FIX for the S90

That "dude" is my wife doing some video. And yes, she has a couple videos of me with my rig. Once she has processed and edited her work, I can post it as well. I use two strobes (110a) on an Ultralight Control System set of arms. I also have a Big Blue focus light. 1 Canon and 12 AA...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I'm running a bit late for the morning dive, so I don't have the time to search for how to upload pictures. I will look it up when I get back from this morning's dive/photo session and have a few pictures ready to upload. Sorry for the delay.

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

Observations on the Fisheye FIX housing: (oh, and THANK YOU RYAN) Very nice housing. It fit on my ULC arms/rig well. The buttons (other than power...) were all very convenient and easy to use (I didn't wear gloves.) All in all, it is a great housing. I have only two negative points...

    Calling all ponies

My non-stressed diving is around 0.35. Thanks to all the Japanese tea ceremony, zen, martial arts, etc I have done. Stressed is untested, but I expect it to be around 80 cubic feet per minute. ;)

    Calling all ponies

My math? It was based on sucking a SA dry on the surface. It took over 11 minutes. 11 minutes and 46 seconds. Ascending from 99 feet to 66 feet, I would use an average of 3.5 minutes of SAC (4 minutes at 99 and 3 minutes at 66, so the average is about 3.5) Ascending from 66 to 33 would cost...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

What? You changed your payment plan? I guess your easy financing was too easy: 100% down with ZERO interest. I cannot put you on my payroll direct deposit. My local dive shop is there already. :eyebrow: On a more serious note: Please let us know what makes the best configuration for...

    Calling all ponies

Not everyone is willing to dive with a 20+ cu ft "pony". I certainly am not willing to lug the extra tank and don't want a side tank when I am trying to take pictures. I like my freedom of movement and don't want the extra profile. I cannot ever see myself hiking across the beach at Monastery...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

With so many wet lens mount options, I wonder what would be the best choice for someone with an S90 and wanting the Fisheye housing.

S90, Housing, Strobe Question for Snorkeling

Yes, you will need to use a fiber optic cable with the flash. The Olympus housings allow for a certain amount of the internal flash to shoot straight up to the UFL-1 sensor located on the strobe's underside. Relocating the strobe or using a non-Olympus housing reduces the chances of the strobe...

    Dan?

DAN membership is so important that it goes without saying. I would not dive without it. I also recommend taking the various DAN classes. NAUI/PADI open water is about how to dive. DAN classes is about how to be a safe/healthy diver. DAN insurance is pretty good too.

    Calling all ponies

I was at my local dive shop, discussing spare air and pony sizes. We took a 3 cu ft spare air and breathed off it until it went dry. At the surface, it took about 11 minutes of calm breathing. Theory (which is not practice) says that if you use a spare air at 100 fsw and ascend at 30 fps, you...

    Fisheye FIX for the S90

I was talking about housing options with a dive friend and went to the Fisheye page to send him the link. While I was there, I noticed that the page now has more information, particularly regarding lens mounts. Google Translate --- Still waiting for it to show up at Backscatter. . .

    What should I buy next?

Air integrated computers (much nicer) require a connection to your first stage regulator. I would buy a regulator set (along with a SeaCure mouthpiece) first and an air integrated computer first. Otherwise, you will spend time attaching and unattaching the purchased item every trip/dive. This...

Advice Wanted on Small U/W Camera

I have recently decided to switch from Olympus to a new camera. My choice is to the Canon S90 with the Fisheye FIX housing. It is small and compact. Something to look into. . .

Canon S90 and Ikelite Casing - what next?

Cozumel is incredible. I loved diving there. It is mostly drift diving where you simply float along as the world passes by. Very little effort if you let go and drift. Having said that, stopping to see something long enough to get a good picture of it is more difficult than normal underwater...

Back from DEMA, two great new Fisheye housings for Canon

I don't know about you, but for me it seems like I simply need to sign my paycheck over to various shops: Backscatter, Reef, and my LDS.

    Accomplishments of 2009?

Became a Divemaster. Then began to feel like one too. First live-aboard experience as a diver. Improved buoyancy and breathing. First time my air outlasted an experienced DM on a dive.
