Tec Dive computers and dive plans

O ok. If you are using a "notes" function in your computer. The slate/wetnotes is for when your computer fails. You can argue, if you have two independent diving computers with a "notes" function do you really need a backup location for your dive plans. However, until its been used, abused, and...

I've never seen one of those before. In real life, do the white/blue specs sparkle like in the photos?

Tec Dive computers and dive plans

I'm confused, If you want to build a tec diving application. Why don't you go do some or a lot of proper tec diving first? I'm not sure how a target on a computer would work and help... But a notes/plan view would be helpful for a quick scan. Still need wetnotes or slate just in case.

    XDeep NX Zen Standard

The BP/W is great underwater. Quality is great. Function is great unless your a GUE diver with specific BP requirements. I don't think the deluxe is worth it. However it may be protective for your drysuit or may be more comfortable if your in a rashguard. They are much cheaper ways to put pads...

How do you learn your narcosis depths? Gas switches?

If your looking for a scientific way to measure roughly when you may get narced... A guy in Italy told me where they do this test... The test entailed putting you in a hyperbaric chamber and doing a task. I don't remember if it was math problems or a puzzle or what. But basically, they increase...

Have you used an Air 2 in COLD water?

I don't have any issues with the Atomic SS1. I know its not the same but I believe they are similar. 60F to 50F water. Over 100 dives in those conditions over the past couple years. If you have comfort problems with your integrated second. You need to increase the hose length + corrugated hose...

Pockets mounted on Pony bottle? bad idea?

It's just part of the mask holder. It has an additional part that can be used to clip off to. I like it cause it protects the mask lens and low bulk Tech Mask Holster | Dive Rite

Neighbor Gave Me a BC and Reg, LDS Says Toss 'Em

I'm only commenting on the jacket. If you feel it fits you fine with your exposure gear. All you need is to wear your weight via a weight belt. For a bcd, minimal requirements are fit (picture seem to be fine maybe a little high), does it have enough lift capacity to get you buoyant at the...

    Failing vision

Tbh I'd just deal with it. Turn up the brightness. Move it on your arm where it's a little closer to your eyes. Cup it when reading it. They have stick on readers but I dont think that's what you need. Dgx sells inexpensive prescription masks $50 with prescription. Sounds your on the dammed...

Pockets mounted on Pony bottle? bad idea?

I usually do this with my smb+reel, especially if I know im going to use it. If i dont have pocket space and want to bring a back up mask, I'll do this on the opposite side. Its protected behind the bp and streamlined. No real entanglement hazard. You can do this via the bottom holes at the...

how to attach safety sausage to BCD

What bcd do you have? I use a double ender. I keep it attached to my smb n spool. I like it in my butt pouch, drysuit pockets, or clipped to butt clip and the sausage held in place by bunges. If you buy the plastic spools, you'll likely have to cut quite a bit of line off. Youtube videos will...

Pockets mounted on Pony bottle? bad idea?

You sling your pony? If its only for solo diving, it can work. If you have a backplate, you can use bunges to hold it in place. I can provide a pic of ur interested. A butt pouch as someone else showed is an option. You just feel for the double ender.

How was it total and for what tank? O2 cleaning wont be helpful for you unless you use enriched gas via a shop that does partial pressure blending. Hydro with a pressurized tank is highly unlikely, but it does minimize a lot of risk of a complete lemon.

    BP/W question

I've heard of nasty things coming out of ppls inflators. From cockroaches to bad bacterial infections. I'd rather be safe then sorry when I have to manually inflate. I'm also fairly ocd. I know for sure tropical water can have that problem. In my case, Southern California, when it rains we...
