I go to powell twice a year and always take tanks with me and dive. there is tons of garbage in the lake due to wind blowing stuff off and due to people throwing stuff overboard also! I have found everything from a diving mask to a motorcycle tire, toys, chairs, towells, and in the right spots...

I have a healthy respect for pressurized O2! I am a fireman and have seen the effects of an exploding O2 cylinder in a house fire and worse yet was a bottle imbedded in the house across the street after losing it's due to above explosion. I hope the involved people recover quickly.

you would have less of a nitrogen load after flying. the problem is that once you land you start to ongass immediately and by the time you would get to a dive site you would have a "bottom time" that would make any small amount of "negative" nitrogen load gone.

good luck the silt always makes it difficult to locate things. another option would be to call the local sheriffs office dive team. I know our team would love the prectice of "searching" and the $$$ would definately go a long way to helping to fund the department!
