They're both really good dive sites I'm a bit partial to the Ruby E because it reminds me of a parade float and the Yukon, well .. because it's a really big ship laying on it's side ;)

The distance a searcher is going to be able to see that is not going to very good .. you should investigate any of the links I posted as to thoughts/results of using a laser

? ... lasers have range, but unless you know where to aim it,, a searcher will never see it, and if they do, you just potentially blinded him and caused him to crash

CD's are less than effective for or anything related to signaling
