    Computer; Console or Wrist?

I would think if it is that sensitive you wouldn't want to wear it under water either and depend on it with your life. I didn't think they were that expensive. I have found some between $299 & $ $500 depending on sales. I actually thought that was pretty good for something that your life...

    Computer; Console or Wrist?

Being new I have wondered this as well. Something I would like to add to this question is, if you choose a wrist mount is it one of the bigger bulky ones or like a watch that you can wear every day?

Another Thing that bugs me about dive shops

I do not know anything about ScubaPro and they way they conduct business but it seems that you can not sell anything online and have them warranty it. With that said it appears like awap said diveseekers will not ship the Scubapro items, but make you pick them up in store. Then there is no...

bigtim6656:My dad found the Divers Institute of Technology website in a dive magazine. I had a question do any of you know what they teach what jobs you get after you go to the school. I do not want to sound out of line here but a simple click of the link that YOU provided will explain to...

Another Thing that bugs me about dive shops

My LDS is The Scuba Connection in Hillsborough, NJ. I truly believe they are in business to make money like everyone else, but from what I have seen they are going to make money with repeat customers, great service, great prices and most of all knowledgable and friendly staff. Here is a link if...

Another Thing that bugs me about dive shops

I brought it because I am a total noob and I didnt know what I needed or how much these items should cost. I trusted the dive shop, and to be honest I still trust them. The snorkle issue is a toss up as some on here wouldnt leave home with out it and some would.

Buying from a LDS vs online

I assume this place you found for custom wetsuits is on the internet because you talk about shipping. $200.00 for a custom wetsuit is cheap or should I say cheaper then I found any, plus with your size (you say around a 6x) thats alot of material for so cheap. I would look into this company a...

Another Thing that bugs me about dive shops

I was not going to comment on this thread, but I feel I had to after doing some research. I went to my LDS and wanted to get into an open water class and buy the necessary items needed boots, fins, mask, snorkle plus hood and gloves (because it is cold where I am). I did not do any research on...

Why so expensive to dive with Great Whites?

Doesn't the exchange rate you described make it more expensive for an American to travel to Australia? Shark trip in Australia is say $100.00. Then the American dollar is only worth $0.65 in Australia then it would actually cost you $154 American money to go on the trip. Therefore not the...

    Certification - Crash course?

As another poster stated this sounds like the PADI "executive" course. I am taking the executive course in about 2 weeks and they said we have to have the book read, knowledge reviews completed and dvd watched. It will be one weekend in the classroom and pool and then another weekend for check...

    Considering Navy Diver, help please

Please do not take this the wrong way....It is my opinion only that you want to go into the navy because your brother is in the navy. You want to become a navy diver because you are hoping it will lead to a great paying job on the outside when your tour is done. If I am correct ( and maybe I am...

    Ethical practice in wreck diving

This is a very good question and I believe the words "We don't avoid cemetaries, & we dont avoid intersections where people have died" about sum it up. But then again everyone is entitled to their opinion.
