    DUI dry gloves

I plan to use aquaseal + cotol. I'm going to glue the new glove to the old glove liner inside the cuffs. We'll see how it works.

    DUI dry gloves

I get tired to patch my old DUI dry gloves with aquaseal and want to buy a new rubber/pvc gloves, cut the old gloves and glue the new ones to existing ZipSeals cuffs. Any suggestion where I can find gloves which are similar to DUI orange dry gloves? My local Home Depot sells blue PVC gloves...

    First rebreather Dive uncomfortable

I use exactly the same amount of lead for my Prism2 CCR and DIR OC setup with steel HP100. But every rebreather is different.

Hollis Prism 2 electronics in head. Photos!

OBOE board drives the monitor side (HUD, Nerd2 or additional Petrel2). SOLO board drives the controller side. Which one loses the cell reading: Petrel, HUD or both? PS: Be very gentle with board connectors. It's very easy to broke wires there. Ask me how I know :(

    Recomendations for pools for practice?

I put ankle weights around the tank valve not hoses. I didn't have time during the class to find what was the main contribution to the wrong trim. Maybe it were not hoses but something else. Anyway moving some weights higher solved the issue.

    Recomendations for pools for practice?

I taught a refresher class last winter and one student came with a double house reg. Don't remember the brand but it was a modern one. I spent some time to fix his trim. His upper body was way positive probably because of hoses full of air. Finally put 2 or 4 lbs ankle weights around the tank...

    Cell failure on handset

Call Shearwater. They are more knowledgeable than Hollis support.

    Cell failure on handset

Voted out != Fail. Petrel still shows PO2 for all cells even there are way off. Fail = no signal.

    Cell failure on handset

I've been there. In my case it was a bad wire harness. I would double check it with a multimeter before checking anything else.

Advanced or technical diving in San Diego

Hello, I plan to visit San Diego in June 19-21. My family is going to Legoland and I'm open for diving on June 20. I plan to bring my rebreather. Any recommendations for dive sites and/or dive boats? I'm a full trimix certified and dive weekly in Monterey/Carmel area in 130-220' depth range. I...

    Breakwater 60 foot

There are multiple options with boat/kayak/dpv. Without it it's a decent swim everywhere but North Monastery where you can reach 60' and much deeper easily.

Is anyone diving the Hollis prism?

Dive P2 for 2.5 years. The major issue was a crack in the O2 manual add valve which was replaced with the new steel version. Have to admit that Hollis rebreather support is not the fastest one but it works and in general I have no regrets on my choice. Tried a couple others units during TDI...
