    Hollis inline CCR tank valve

It's the next step :-) and I need to decide if I want to stay with Hollis or get less expensive DGX one.

    Hollis inline CCR tank valve

It seems that the service kit used to include the entire seat assembly, but now it only comes with the teflon insert.

    Hollis inline CCR tank valve

The service kit I have includes only the teflon seat, not the complete seat assembly, and the fit isn’t reliable. It works fine when the tank pressure is below 1000 PSI, but above that, I can’t open the valve. When I unscrew the metal part of the seat, internal pressure pushes the teflon seat...

    LightMonkey banana connectors

The hole doesn't go all the way through intentionally because the canister remains sealed even when it's open. I’ve emailed LM and am awaiting their response.

I found a couple plug options, but I haven’t been able to locate the right jack yet.

    LightMonkey banana connectors

Thanks a lot. This is what I need. Unfortunately they do not send it to U.S. I will call LightMonkey and try to order spare connectors from them.

    LightMonkey banana connectors

My LM canister had a minor flood. The battery survived, but a couple of banana connectors were heavily corroded. I want to replace them but haven’t been able to find the exact same connectors (plug and jack) online. Does anyone know which banana connectors LM uses in their canister?

    Self-Guided cave diving in cenotes

It's not my first time there. I dove Dos Ojos, Nohoch, Tajma Ha, Carwash, Mayan Blue, Tortuga, Chikin Ha, Minotauro, Pedrin Fenomeno, Jailhouse. I also dove Aerolito in Cozumel many times. I have a general idea about the entrance, navigation, and other aspects, but I never planned out the full...

    Self-Guided cave diving in cenotes

Yes, I was referring to cave diving. I updated the thread title for clarity :-) The cenote dives I did with a guide were cave dives, and most of them involved 1 stage.

    Self-Guided cave diving in cenotes

Next year, my buddy and I are planning a week-long trip to dive cenotes in Playa - Tulum area and we're interested in diving without a guide. Could you recommend places to stay, car rentals and dive centers where we can rent tanks? We’re both Cave CCR and DPV certified, but we plan to dive on OC...

    Repair Light Monkey light

My LightMonkey 32 VF light needs repair. Somehow, the retaining o-ring was missed, causing the head to partially flood. I opened the head, drained the water, and found no visible damage, and the light seemed to work fine. After replacing the retaining o-ring, I took the light on a dive the...

    To Nerd (or not)

I'm happy with my Nerd2. Have it for 300+ hours (ocean, caves, dpv) and use it as a primary monitor during the dive. I look at the main controller only when I need to switch PO2. The compass screen is VERY useful on the shore dpv dives. My original unit had a mount which broke twice and every...

Is there cave diving on the West Coast?

I suspect that none of the caves on your list have public diver access 😥

Is there cave diving on the West Coast?

Vancouver Island is actually closer for me than Florida. My CCR TEC60 training was in Nanaimo and I drove there from California. My instructor told me about underwater caves on the island but I'm not sure I want to dive in the caves there

Full Cave with CCR -- not OC?

I did my cave training in Florida on CCR with no previous cave experience on OC. This worked well for me.

Is there cave diving on the West Coast?

I live in SF Bay Area so it's 40 hours for me. I wish I have so much free time. I'm looking for weekend/long weekend options.

Is there cave diving on the West Coast?

Every time I plan to go to Florida, I check how far to go. And every time I see 40 hours I choose to fly :)
