    Heads up

And if you look at anything other than the NHC, you'll see it is quickly going into the pacific ocean.

    My back surgery...

People dont actuall read the links to junk they post. In or around 2008 a lineman may have died (autopsy not done) from picking up a line that was energized. He didnt open the transformer fuse to kill the backfeed per protocol. So, the back fed generator did not kill this guy. Even the Pike guys...

    Heads up

The dumbed down NHC hurricane predictions and their moronic color codes are pure junk. (Tomer Burg data)

    My back surgery...

Wait... Now you switched from backfeeding to tranfer switches. Read the NEC. You might just be enlightened. Portable generators dont fall under 702 if they're not permanently connected.

    My back surgery...

⁹ LOL. You're getting a building permit to plug a generator cord into a socket?

    Random FUD with no author.

    My back surgery...

Completely wrong. How do you even get a permit if you're not a contractor?

    My back surgery...

Ridiculous. On many levels. Not how code enforcement works. Private home owners arent bound by electrical "code" because they aren't licensed contractors. I can do whatever I want. Ask me how I know.

Shop air dryer for booster idea

The amount of air used by truck brakes is infinitesimmaly small compared to what a scuba booster uses. You dont really need to "filter" the air. You need to cool it so the water condenses.

    My back surgery...

Like a lot of other things in life, backfeeding your panel isn't dangerous unless you don't know what you're doing. Every outage I've ever had, the power company came around and verified everyone's main breaker was off before they started working in my area. If they hear a generator engine...

    Hurricane MIlton

I converted my generator to propane 15 years ago. Had several buddies call for help this week when their generator wouldnt start. Don't buy cheap chinese generators unless you're a competent small engine mechanic..... No need to run generator 24/7. Fridge will stay cold/frozen for quite a...

Eneloop style batteries in Oxygen Analyzers

I use lithium AAs in almost everything. They'd probably last several years in an O2 meter.

    Best Booster for Rebreathers

You must be fun at parties. I'll try to be more negative. Actually the best case is when the 80 has 3000psi in it! I'll record the numbers when I do it from a T-bottle of O2 next time. Even less drive gas :^]
