I think there is a flaw how the certification test measure the WOB of rebreathers.
It calculates the area inside the "Lissajou pattern".
It works well for second stages and passive gas masks because the pattern is on both sides of the horizontal zero axis.
With a rebreather you have...
Thanks for the reference to Reynolds number. I totally forgot about laminar to turbulent flow even though I had read the "Design Guidelines for Carbon Dioxide Scrubbers" document. I still see this totally unrelated to the Zord explanation. Reynolds number is more about real gas velocity in...
I’m not an expert in chemistry or physics but this is what I have figured out about scrubber efficiency. With some crude simplifications.
The most important factor to scrubber efficiency is temperature!!! Many chemical reaction rates double for every 10℃ temperature rise.
The chemical...
Have you checked the Triton front mount rebreather. It's compact and simple. The fastening system for hoses and scrubber lid is brilliant.
I have test dived it and liked how it breathes. It could be a little bit thinner in size.
There should be no offset b value since 0% 0mV is used as one calibration point. And repeated one more time: calibrating with single gas is already a two point calibration since the second calibration point is 0% 0mV. With two gases you can make a 3-point calibration.
If you calibrate the cell with air or O2 it is already a 2-point calibration. The other point is assumed 0mV at 0%.
If a computer/controller supports two calibration gases at the same time then it is a 3-point calibration.
0mV for 0% and two other gases like air and 100% O2. If they are not...
That is true but many are announcements and sales threads. Here I found good talk and interesting members who have disappeared for the other two sites.
I'm making electronics because I want to. This project is also my last course work before getting my Master's degree electrical engineering.
One idea behind the design is using only 1-2 O2 cells per controller/monitor unit. Data between units is shared via CAN bus. If the CAN bus fails you can...
RBW and CCRX are getting quite quiet. Nice to see activity here.
After a few quiet years I'm getting back to RB diving. Atm. I'm building my own dive computer/RB controller. Looking into getting it wet the next summer. I took the O2 version from the Apoc order and money back from the...
