I had a pressure transducer go out on me on a dive. No big deal. I've also had a couple instances where the computer just went haywire during the middle of the dive. No low battery warning or anything. Change the battery and it's good to go. That's why I always have a backup. No backup means...
I think you need to just give up on becoming a commercial diver. I don't want to be a naysayer on anyone's dreams but sometimes you have to do a reality check and re-evaluate what is actually feasible. You might be able to get clearance for recreational diving so why don't you focus on trying...
Why go through the trouble of recreational trimix? Just go for normoxic and it covers all bases up to 200 ft. With the cost of trimix classes that would seem the most cost effective.
Well I was at Vortex on Sunday learning how to scooter and there was a class standing on the bottom doing drills. Rather than swimming they were walking! There was no diving going on. It was a cluster. I just can't believe instructors can teach like that, it's appalling. I wanted to take out...
Head up to Marianna. All the caves are open and even Matachuk on the Chipola River. That cave never goes under despite river levels. Speaking about cave reversal I was in Peacock taking my full cave class when it reversed. Made for an interesting exit for sure.
I've been on a couple of his dives. It is an accident waiting to happen. At first it was cool but when a large hammerhead got close enough for me to touch it had I chosen to, things weren't so cool anymore. The thing was swimming straight for me and turned away at the last moment.
Well, it turns out I'm just going to join Marissa and come back on Saturday so it will be purely a cave diving excursion! Definitely no need to cut up my cave card
LoL! If I go I'm planning on meeting Marissa and diving with them until they leave which will be from Wednesday to Friday. Then I will stay a couple extra days in Cancun and get in some OW diving, lol! That is assuming I can find a good op. There would be no way I would go to Mexico and not...
Hey all. I am looking into a trip to cancun for diving. I am an experienced diver and don't want to have to babysit anyone. Are there any ops that cater to more experienced divers? I know all the dives are follow the leader DM type dives but which ones are the better ops?
