Dive Rite 10 Watt HID With Accessories

Dive Right 10 watt MR11 style HID. Two batteries, two smart chargers both with temperature probes, new/unused spare bulb, soft handle and goodman handle, all as pictured plus a few spare parts included. Both batteries have a 3-4 hour burn time. This light has served me well but my diving has...

    scuba board stickers

+1 on the sticker, -10000 for Ghost Hunters. I can't even watch that show it's so fake.

    Trim

I have the same problem. For some reason I have a butt of lead. :-) I simply push my tank up as far as I can comfortably tolerate and put some weight up on my shoulders along with keeping my arms stretched out in front. Works great. With a drysuit all I do is add a little more air to my feet.

    Reaching Greater Depths

I am a small girl and my RMV is .26 in completely calm water with little to no current. I've had an isolated .24. In current I'm a .42. I am in good shape and don't skip breathe. Low rates are possible if you remain mindful of your breathing patterns and stay relaxed. I'm a slow diver though so...

    Trimix Cylinder Buoyancy

I know from personal experience with my Faber 85's the ends get really floaty with trimix. I bought some Worthington 85's with heavier bottoms that I'm going to try.

    Stage Rigging Methods

Maybe we can go on a dive sometime so I can see this in action? I can't really tell anything by the pictures. Have you had anyone video you or take photos while diving it? That would be interesting to see. When I was front mounting them before I knew the stages were hanging low but I didn't know...

    That initial "oh god" moment.

Not my first Oh God moment but definitely my most intense Oh God moment. I got myself good and stuck in a cave today head down. :-) It was a high flow cave going down a round tube. I had one tank out in front of my trying to pull my way in. The first thing that happened was my lollipop pressure...

    Stage Rigging Methods

I am very interested in the Dave stage way for sure. Looking forward to seeing your photos. Something has to give, lol!

    Stage Rigging Methods

I am done with any form of back mounting stages. I'm tired of nearly having to dislocate my shoulder every time I go to clip the tank down. I'm currently using the "Weston" method. My arms just aren't long enough to reach around easily. We are tweaking a way of front mounting using the standard...

Big Island Divers And Jacks Diving Locker Are Awesome!

I just got back from my trip to the Big Island and I can't say enough about the folks at Big Island Divers and Jack's Diving locker. Both are top notch operations and I had a great time. They went out of their way to accomodate everyone and ensure that they had a good time. I enjoyed how they...

    Lost Camera :-(

Fortunately I downloaded the SD card before I went out on that dive so I didn't lose all my pictures

    Cave Diving Socks

LoL! Those would make great socks to wear under a drysuit. :-)

    Lost Camera :-(

Hey everyone I know this is a long shot but I was diving with Big Island Divers last night and we were diving at "Suck Em Up". I went to hook my camera up to my D-ring and I guess I missed because when I looked for it a few min later it was gone. It is a red Intova IC-14 in a clear plastic...

The Psychology of Pushing the Limits

There is no reason to dive to the ungodly depth of 350 meters without a submarine other than to have bragging rights and the ability to thump your chest and say "been there done that". Pure foolishness bordering on madness. Why? What contribution to society or knowledge does a stunt like that...

    Training on the calendar! Tips?

Edd and Michal would definitely not pass anyone if they couldn't do the skills but being able to do the skills well does not equate with having experience. Real world experience is nothing that can be taught. I would not feel comfortable going into an overhead environment with someone whose...

    Training on the calendar! Tips?

Most people who go from zero to hero cannot dive well. It's very hard to find one who can. Fin marksy, hand prints, scuff marks, ect, are the calling card of those type of divers. Should crap go to hell the they have to revert back to the only poor training they know unless the get intercepted...

    Training on the calendar! Tips?

I still can't believe that you were able to be successful with so little dives under your belt. Most divers with the amount of dives you have can barely keep themselves alive let alone have good enough buoyancy and trim skills to pass a cave class. You must have had some natural diving talent...

    500 psi for two divers?

This is a very dangerous mindset to have. Personally I would not even get into the water with someone who has no idea how to safely plan a dive or how to participate in dive planning. This is one reason I am apprehensive about having to instabuddy with strangers on a dive boat. Furthermore it's...

What are your thoughts about our constant buoyancy BCD ?

That's a very novel concept. However it sounds like a gear solution to a skills problem. I'll give you guys props for ingenuity though.
