    New Regulator Advice

Dove five tanks in the Keys a couple weeks ago. Four were with 32% Nitrox, the single (~20ft. shallow) night dive tank was regular air. My deepest dive was the Spiegel Grove wreck, ranged from 80ft. to 100ft. I had no issues with my new Oceanic Delta4.2 / FDX10 setup. Everything good, no...

    New Regulator Advice

Well it's not too late to return it, still new in box. I read no other bad or even mediocre reviews on it. I will continue to research, but probably will stick with this Oceanic. Thanks for the heads up eelnoraa & scubadada.

Aeris / Oceanic tech support punting to Diverlog developer for A300 CS OLED support

Got mine for a bit more than $500, with transmitter & case, very lightly used (2 dives), new/mint condition, no flaws, but no USB cable. So deals can be found. First thing you need to do is update to latest firmware, call Oceanic or Aeris to help if needed. And replaced both batteries just to...

    New Regulator Advice

I went with an Oceanic Delta 4.2 / FDX 10, new for $315 shipped. Swivel, env. sealed, balanced, adjustable 2nd, "DVT", etc. ALL the features I was looking for, excellent reviews, zero bad reviews, good price, and large company with wide support. I appreciate everyone's help. I hope this...

    New Regulator Advice

Yep, the HOG D1 set is on my list, would only buy new though. Also, my dive outfit is offering $70 off a new (3rd gen) AquaLung Titan setup which is very tempting. 2 HP ports, adjust. 2nd?, env. sealed?, good reviews, high quality, trusted company, under $300 after deal.

Will Air Integration in dive computers replace the SPG?

Thanks @DiveNav, will do! I have the ACI software, and upgraded the firmware to the latest. Halfway through reading the PDF manual. Next step is your class and any Youtubes I can find.

    Homestead Crater, UT.

Good info @PhatD1ver, thanks! But it's all moot because I decided to skip Homestead and do my AOW in Ft. Lauderdale or Key Largo. I'm not sure I can answer your questions about how this shop conducts their classes at the Crater. I definitely want to plan a California dive trip in the future...

Will Air Integration in dive computers replace the SPG?

Excuse the dive computer n0ob question. Do the Oceanic DC's dynamically display the lower number it calculates between ATR & DTR? Shouldn't the DTR always be lower since it takes the ATR then also adjusts down (safer or more cushion) for oxygen/nitrogen absorption? Is this user settable? I...

Will Air Integration in dive computers replace the SPG?

Even though I have a computer w/ AI, I'm gonna also run an SPG just for trusted (and hosed) redundancy/safety. Can't hurt!

Favorite Dives and Operators around Ft.Lauderdale/Miami?

I haven't booked hotels or dives yet, so I might just stick up around the Ft.Lauderdale area, the places you guys mentioned above. ScubaDiveIt in Pompano Beach is offering an AOW weekend for only $250, since I already have all my gear, PADI book, etc. Of course that's because two or three of...

    New Regulator Advice

Probably not for many years, but who knows. Also don't expect to have just "one reg. setup for life" with this first buy, so I'm not worried about servicing them myself. Colorado actually has a ton of reputable Scuba shops for any landlocked state. Now if there was a low-cost regulator...

Favorite Dives and Operators around Ft.Lauderdale/Miami?

I hear ya, and definitely taking that into consideration. I'm planning at least one other dive trip between March and June. My local shop (OneWorld) has two women who have been there 20+ times (both land and liveaboards). They are the travel consultants there, and will be able to assess what...

    Profanity filter?

I looked through personal settings and didn't see a toggle. Is this a global rule? It converted a mild bad word to ****, lol.

****, I already knew the old toy company, "Wham-O". I thought it was you guys' uber Scuba acronym for a certain group of manufacturers. I was overthinking it, lol.

Excuse the n0ob question, but what's "WHAMO"?

Favorite Dives and Operators around Ft.Lauderdale/Miami?

Thanks John, I'm reading up on all those locations. If people have favorite dives, that's what I'm looking for too, since there are are scores to choose from all down the coast. The Galapagos is a lifetime dream vacation as a Biology major, ocean enthusiast, etc. I got the opportunity to jump...

Favorite Dives and Operators around Ft.Lauderdale/Miami?

So I went to Key Largo and had a blast with Rainbow Reef last December. Three trips and they were all great. I'm flying into Ft. Lauderdale this March, and was curious what are the favorite cool dives around that area. I've always read that Key Largo had the best cluster of awesome dives in...

Hello! From Ghosty in Denver, CO.

Lol! Interesting trivia. When I lived on Capital Hill in Denver in the 90's, my apartment building "The Commodore" apparently was one of Lucky Luciano's digs when he was passing through town from Chicago to Vegas or Cali, back in the day. That's the manager told me anyway, heh. He probably...
