OG - thanks! I called them and they said to stop as soon as you show positive on a test. So hoping that I show positive sometime in the next year or so, I will stop.

    diving whilst pregnant?

Ron, you've never been pregnant, so please dont quote manuals at me. Also most women, as I have mentioned before, know that it can sometimes take years to become pregnant.

    why women don't dive?

Kimber - sorry to pull your chain! I was only joking! Of course, if a big strong man offers or wants to carry my heavy tanks for me, then why the hell shouldnt he?! At the same time, I am more than capable of struggling (sorry - couldnt resist) I am more than capable of carrying my tank by...

    diving whilst pregnant?

no and no. that's an assumption too far. because most people don't get pregnant on the first shot, and it takes a few weeks to know you are pregnant. by analysing what happened when people did do it.

    why women don't dive?

Here in SEA, most diving is 50/50, mainly because it is mostly couples that dive together, or share the child-care/free-time equally - eg Saturday is his dive day, Sunday is her dive day. Also child-care is a lot easier to organise, so there is always someone around to look after the children...

    Scary Crazy PMS-ing Women Divers

I house-shared with a woman that had severe PMS - the other housemates & I started to track it so that we could avoid her when she was in psycho week - and literally it would be for a whole week. Unbearable. Most of us moved out when the tenancy was up. But..... she is the only woman I have...

    Don't Smile With A Regulator!

oh - just gotta say: I've also vomitted into my regulator from seasickness during the safety stop - not pleasant but perfectly do-able, and just remember to use your octopus afterwards to breathe through on the way up, otherwise the smell of your own vomit just makes you want to barf again.

    Don't Smile With A Regulator!

:psst: I always lose a few bar when I laugh underwater! My hubby and I when we were first learning how to maximise our air consumption were always checking. At one stage he was 20 bar higher than me, so I gave him the age old \/ signal which caused him to burst out laughing. By the time he...

    Don't Smile With A Regulator!

agreed neither - I'm in South East Asia - the post was done on Saturday afternoon, at home with bronchitus & a nice ENT infection (it's the humidity here) and therefore unable to dive (sob) - although I heard the sea conditions were so lumpy they aborted the club dive, so I dont feel too bad...

    Don't Smile With A Regulator!

ppppffffffffffffff there's two sides to every story and both daphne & aggie have made valid and invalid points. There's a world of difference between petting tame/domesticated animals & petting wild animals, and this is where the confusion came in, originally. I think we all agree...
