Possibles kit contents (sorry if repost, but I can't find anything on the subject)

A small Flashlight is helpful. I keep a second BC light so that it serves two purposes. When I shore dive, especially on some of the local quarries, I like to have a Tire fill adapter. It connects to your Low Pressure Inflator hose in case you get a flat. Silicone Snorkel Keepers come in...

    Looking for good 5mm wetsuit...

I regularly dive my BARE Velocity 5/4 in the local PA quarries. I've dove it in the deep end of gilboa, OH and felt fine. then again I have a freakishly high tolerance for cold water. Jeff

Moving On To AOW - Need 411 on Search & Recovery

    "Public Service Divers"???

I was trained by Dive Rescue International. Great orginization! If you want to get a feel for what you'll most likely be doing find the muddiest, most seaweed filled pond and stick your face in the silt. It may sound over dramatic, but that is exactly what conditions are going to be like...

Is Hyperstretch or Thermoprene worth the extra $$?

I agree save your money. I do however reccomend a 3mm full suit over a shorty. either way the "stretch" neoprene isn't really necessary.

    Waterproof 1st stage

As a service tech, I am amazed what I find in regs. The corosion and other muck that builds up on the filter hinders airflow much more than the little plastic bullet. According to research there is considerably less corrosion in regs with Dry Valve Tech. The FDX-10 /Delta 4 combo...

Once dry, do you ever go back to wet?

I LOVE my BARE Velocity 5/4. It is perfect for our summers. However by early to mid October it's all dry for me. Like durkadiver says drysuits are brutal in the hot sun. I dive wet whenever possible, then again I'm kind of a Polarbear I dont so much mind the cold til it drops below 50F. I...

    Computer Recommendations?

I would reccomend the Oceanic VT3. Air Integrated, Hoseless, Wrist/ or Retractor mountable, and easy to read. It can even read up to three different tansmitters! The Pro Plus is also a Great console. Very easy to read. Both have "Air time remaining" readouts, countdown safety stops...

    Opinions/ Experiences With AGA FFM

OTS just introduced a new ffm at DEMA this year. Check out this post from the PSD forum: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/public-safety-divers/209362-guardian-full-face-mask-new-product-dema.html Apparently it is supposed to have a softer seal and come in a variety of colors. It is aimed...
