Someone somewhere on some forum (don't think it was this one), recommended getting cold cuts from Eli's Deli and bread from some asian market for making lunches with. I haven't the foggiest what the market was though.
3 more days til I leave.... I mentally checked out today at lunch.
Fun note, a Delta Amex gets you rental insurance for like 20 bucks a rental, even on trucks. Cheaper than the 120 they charge you on Bonaire.
Still trying to figure out which restaurants to grace with my presence. The Italian...
Europe isn't a country. If you were thinking about buying something from a particular country and wanted to know how VAT worked buying overseas from that country, that might help.
My habit of buying awesome gear and then needing a size larger/smaller is your gain! All gear is for sale, no trades. PM with all inquiries or offers.

I'm in Bon Sept11-18. I was also in Fiji during the 2000 coup. However, I've been traveling frequently for the past decade and nothing else bad has happened.
The Fiji coup wasn't so bad either. The kava kept flowing.
Which is 50 bucks cheaper than this special:
SUMMER/FALL SPECIAL
May 1- November 30, 2010
STAY, DIVE & DRIVE SPECIAL
$549.00 PP 7 NIGHTS 8 DAYS
Which is the one I signed up under since I didn't know the other one existed.
:depressed:
I will preempt the answer "all of them". Since I am a first timer, I'd like to do to make sure to hit all the signature night dives.
From my own research:
UV Dive w/ Bas (usually at Something Special)
Town Pier (is there any dive op that has permission to do this anymore?)
Salt Pier
Hilma...
That sounds exactly like what I found in my research before booking my September Bonaire trip.
It sounded a lot better than being stuck on the same boat with the same annoying people every day.
Leave your crap in your room, dive hard, eat well. Sounded like a good pitch to me.
For Sept. 11 - Sept. 18:
Buddy- 1128
GRI- 609
Thats for unlimited shores, breakfast, 1 bedroom w/ 2 beds. The only difference being 6 optional boat dives at Buddy and in-room wifi at GRI.
That difference in price is 519 dollars. So the people who thought I was exaggerating.... I was actually...
We dive 4-5 times a day. Eat energy bars to keep going. Never dive before breakfast. Not depth obsessed. Fine doing an 80 or 60 foot dive first thing versus 100.
We take it easy, dive often, and mooned the Atlantis submarine in Cozumel.
The only study done on repellants, showed that Cactus Juice just didn't work. It seems to be a diver myth. If you use, and don't get bit, its because they ain't bitin'.
I think the current GRI package is 650 for that week, and the BDR package is 1128 (per diver).
By the way RJP, don't stop posting that picture. Because its awesome, and is a great poster for all that's great about an island diving vacation.
Trying to figure out what to book for a trip in Mid September.
Looks like using the two most popular choices, (Buddy vs GRI), the difference come out to almost 500 dollars for the week.
At GRI you get free nitrox fills, so that expands the raw difference even more.
Is being shore-side...
SeatGuru Seat Map Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 Vers. 2 (757)
From the seat chart for my flight on deltas web site, this seems to be my plane (judging by row 19 being a half row). It is not the 757 that has power ports.
Doh.
