    What if we get bent?

And yet some dont. Consider how much they care about you if they dont have oxygen? Also dont get caught up in the hype. My wife got bent in Brunei and before we went we were told of the deco chamber all good all organised. Once bent we found you had to go through a local GP who knows nothing...

    Old air in tanks.

What training tells you that air 18 months old is bad. If it tests then its fine. I dont think anyone is saying dont test, I would say, if it tests fine then dive it. If it doesnt or you are not comfortable then dont. But just because its 18 months old doesnt mean its poison and nore does it...

    What if we get bent?

Why did the rest not dive. We have had people bent and the rest of the group still dive?

    What if we get bent?

From experience, does the LDS have pure oxygen available. Thats the most important first aid before anything. No oxygen then I wouldnt go diving with them. If a skin bend O2 will usually sort it, if a serious bend then it helps over having nothing until you get to a chamber. Oh and if you do...

    Old air in tanks.

I agree, test for Nx and if its the same use it, then if out of test get it tested and go diving again. I have tanks sitting for a period as I have 15 tanks and simply test before use, regardless of the fill time. Thats what I would do anyway, but if you are nervous, rush down and get it tested...

My dive log. All hand written but very cheap at $1.50. Much cheaper than the dive shop books and no less valid.

    Analox Sensor Saver Plug??

I have an ATA PRO Trimix Analyser, and the oxygen sensor is still fine after 4 years. I always ensure tht its cleared of oxygen and only has air inside, then I cap off the inlet and outlet ports so they are sealed. Seems to have extended the life of the sensor. The big thing to check though is...

    reducing trimix costs

I agree totally, where the dive matters spend what you need to, so you totally enjoy the dive. I dived Repulse and Prince of Wales on Trimix, totally worth it and a never again dive. Truk I do on air and have dived it 5 times and will go again. Where a dive like Bikini is a once of a lifetime...

    reducing trimix costs

What about isobaric counterdiffusion? I was always taught to take that into consideration. Oh I see others have already commented on that. Personally I dont wish to be bent underwater, regardless of the theory of it not being an issue above 100m. You should be using a travel gas to minimise...

    Tank always filled under 3000psi

Having a short fill is one of my pet hates. To prevent this I check the tank before I leave the LDS, and if its short I ask for a tank thats full. Sometimes I get a strange look and a question of "whats wrong". I then reply that the tank should be 200 BAR, 3000 psi and thats what I expect, if I...

Bad Dive Right In experience - or - just plain Bait and Switch ...

Mike, I am impressed. Most businesses would offer a one line explanation and generally ignore the customer. How you responded makes all the difference. Well done, and I hope the diving fraternity support your ethical business. Much like shearwater who is also a stand up business.
