Dangerous blood fluid leak after 100 foot cave dive - Florida

It doesn't mention bends until the third paragraph, and not at all in the headline.

Titanic tourist sub goes missing sparking search

Yes, but I see no reason for a civilian vessel to do that.

    Faber Hot dipped galvanized durability

Rust is oxidation, and I was taught, by very knowledgeable people, that rust never sleeps.

    Faber Hot dipped galvanized durability

It corrodes, rust is a specialized term used to denote corrosion of iron.

Makes you wonder what the previous owner was doing with the tank.

    Identifying a walter kidda tank?

It is not that odd around industrial cylinders.

    Steel 3500’s “going away??”

No DOT scuba tanks over 3500 psi, and new ones are not being made now. DIN are 300 bar regs, but there are no 300 bar yokes available. I do have an old '80's Sherwood yoke reg that is made for 4000# service. I have no problem finding shops that can fill to 3500# now, of course if a shop never...

    Steel 3500’s “going away??”

    I'd find another shop regardless.

Titanic tourist sub goes missing sparking search

Sounds like the latch does not penatrate the hull if they have to release it, and the crew outside cannot.

Why did Horse Collar BC's fade away?

Not me, I was trained by old timers, and ran into enough lessons along the way. I may not carry all my weight on the belt, but I always wear a belt.

Why did Horse Collar BC's fade away?

Dead people and those in full panic are highly unlikely to drop their weights or inflate their BC.

Tell them the mix, and to hold the helium.

Is it too early to think about diving with a twinset?

That's why I just bought another plate, I hate the single tank adaptor as it moves the tank away from my back, and plates are pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things.

Five swept to sea, three saved - Gellibrand Lower, Victoria, Australia

The quote was "Swell of up to 7m", which is different than a 7m swell. They were certainly diving in marginal conditions, but not necessarily as bad as it sounded.

Cylinder Rupture at Dive Shop in FL

Probably found a path through the building to get to a good ground on the compressor, then the main strike followed. I've been in a building when it was hit, and later found the path it used by following the damage from where I saw it come through the ceiling.

Bozeman diver drowns attempting vehicle recovery - Montana

@Tracy pointed out the big money, or rather, avoiding that big money. There is value in the engine and other parts as it is in fresh water and will not cause the damage a long soak in salt water will do. It's not the amateur part that that is the issue, as I have retrieved a number of large...

    Tank questions

The ones others have quoted are for the old steel 72's, designed before the Al 80 was invented. PST and Faber also made Mid Pressure 3300 psi (including the 10%) that hold 72 cuft at that pressure. I believe Faber still makes theirs, and are smaller than the old steel 72's and are nice little...
